The narration was perfect for all the characters. I really enjoyed this story. I loved how it all intertwined and came together at the end. And just to know it was a true story about Pearl Harbor made it even more special. Very well written. I heard this author on an interview on my churches podcast. Seacoast Church podcast. So I ordered the book. So glad I did! He said he wrote it as a movie first and then a novel. I saw that movie in my head as I was listening. I can’t wait to watch it one day! :) Bravo!

Absolutely LOVED this book!

I really enjoyed the thorough stories of all the characters in the overlapping timeline- their individual perspectives and motivations that come together in the end with God’s love instead of hate as the common denominator. The recounts of the military action were well detailed without being laborious to listen to- very exciting to hear the perspectives on these historic battles.

I was able to listen to this book over a couple days of work, and had no problem keeping up; not something I originally expected from such a detailed book. A story very well told. I hope it makes it to the big screen!

A compelling story of forgiveness and Christ’s love
