Explore the captivating history of World War 1!

The first World War was one of the most devastating conflicts in our history. The tumult and chaos that remained in the wake of the first World War had far-reaching and devastating consequences, not just for Europe and the survivors of the war, but for the entire world. The ruins of Europe provided a fertile breeding ground for fierce nationalism, which led to the rise of the Third Reich and allowed the evil of Adolf Hitler to go unchecked for far too long.

In this audiobook, you will discover topics such as:

  • The fatal shots that set the stage for war
  • The Western front and the first Battle of Marne
  • War in the trenches
  • The Eastern front and the Battle of Tannenberg

this book is not as exciting and nostalgic but still has excellent flavor. Unlike the first World War, this book has a good introduction and preface covering the crisis preceding the outbreak of war.

I found this book also hard to put down. The level of detail in the Pacific theater does not follow equally to the work put into Europe, but a book of this scale and breadth covering a topic of this magnitude would be difficult to encompass in any manner.

Excellent recounting of this war
