Research filled with amazing facts.

Really good book and the style of writing is exceptional. Easy read for historians and rigs looking for a book on the 20s that attempts to cover everything.

A Bravo effort.

As a final point! This is somewhat a Bibliography! I've lamented the lack of one of these in every installment in this series. Now we finally get one -- it's not long, but it's robust enough to equip someone to start looking into the topic in more depth on their own.

Readers are in for a treat.

The audible was fairly clean, too, with few profanities and on-the-page violence. The author really captured the flavor of the times. I'd highly recommend this for someone who enjoys secular suspense and mystery. This book has already won an award.

Look back into the history of 20's.

I'm still absorbing this information. Since this was before my time, even though I'm a senior citizen, there is much to learn and understand about this time period in America. It's a wonder we survived it!

A blend of tales for seekers.

It helps explain which events impacted long term changes in society and culture in the US. If you're a scholar and looking for some heavier reading, this isn't for you, but if you're just someone who wants to get a better understanding of just how transformation the era was, this will do the trick.

Look at the decade of excess.

The Roaring Twenties are frequently considered one of the more exciting periods of American history -- it's right there in the name after all. The cultural, economic and political changes that characterize this decade are the fodder for all sorts of reflection and analysis

This is excellent, very enjoyable.

I enthusiastically recommend Captivating History's Anything Goes: The Roaring Twenties, a captivating guide to a period of dramatic social and political change, a false sense of prosperity, and Its impact on the great depression. To take advantage of listening to the book as a doorway into the twenties, I recommend going online to YouTube and watching the many videos of events, people, music, film and much more that is readily available.

A Really Good Summary of America in The 1920s

This is a really good summary. As an audiobook it is somewhere in the area of two hours in length. Personally I found it just long enough to have an adequate amount of detail, but not so long as to be a great commitment of time and effort, a good compromise.

The book is not overly complex and detailed. It can be read, and or listened to, and understood, by an average reader such as myself. Thank You...
