Story is getting better

Story is getting better with the second installment. Looking forward to listening to the third book.

YA Fantasy

While narration makes everybody sound too young for their ages, the story itself is enjoyable.

I give this book an R rating due to the violence. Even though Akira and Ashleigh finally mate, there is no mature content, just kissing.

Akira even though she still makes many mistakes, lacks faith in herself, and feels like the weak link, she is coming into her own as she learns to harness the magic in Austin's amlet instead of letting it control her.

While Akira no longer needs the winter stone to shift, it seems that the quest for it has not ended, as for some reason Austin wants it.
