Publisher's summary

The last time witchy car mechanic Victoria Fox did magic, she nearly blew up half a street. Oops. No more magic for her, but is a witch who doesn’t do magic still a witch?

Well, she does have a kitty familiar named Professor Studmuffin Salvitore III. She also has a knack for inviting magical trouble to her shop’s doorstep.

Like her business rival who shows up and offers her a deal. A tempting deal, but she shuts the door in his face anyway. Moments later, his star employee drops dead.

All roads lead to Victoria as the murderer. The problem? She didn’t do it. The other problem? Almost no one believes her.

It’s now up to her and her kitty familiar to prove she’s innocent. Tiptoeing closer to the truth could put them both in danger though. And it might just take a lead paw on the gas pedal to get them out.

Great Stories!

All three of these books are super cute, cozy paranormal mystery.
The storied are light, fun, and enjoyable to listen to! Full of humor, chaos, and fun!
In the third book, Vic keeps finding herself repeating the same day again and again... and completely coincidentally, I read this book on Ground Hogs Day, lol
The stories have terrific narration!

fun cozy mysteries

This is a box set for the first 3 books in the series. glove the hijinks as Victoria muddles through life trying to come to terms with her new found life as a with and her feline familiar, Studmuffin. The mysteries revolve around murders occurring in her life and she is also involved in sort of a love triangle with two men, the son of her family's nemesis and the police detective investigating the murders. I look forward to listening more of her adventures.

Victoria and her familiar

I really loved this these first three books in the series. Well written, characters are amazing and the familiar for Victoria is snarky and funny but he does love her. These books are so well written I couldn't wait to turn on my audible and clean the house while listening to the books. So good.

OTT Souther-Fried Paranormal Mysteries

For some reason, I often read or listen to books in a series out of sequence. I listened to two later books in this series before listening to these first three. It's funny, but some things that annoyed me in the later books I actually came to enjoy in these. For instance, I found the heroine’s heavy southern-fried way of talking a bit tedious before, but I found it charming in this set. The heroine is certainly quirky, as are her friends who care deeply for her—friends, family, friends of the family, other paranormals, humans, the community at large. When a certain secondary character showed up—Boxy, I think his name was—I knew it was going to be fun. As often happens in cozy mysteries, the heroine initially gets involved in amateur sleuthing because she herself becomes a crime suspect. There's some slow-burn romance going on here as well, with a heroine having a few choices. A secondary character I particularly liked is her baker extraordinaire kitty familiar, whom she calls her “fluffer stinker,” Salvatore Studmuffin the Third. Even though this box set contains the series' first three books, I don't think the author adequately explained why she always refers to the cat's paws as his “murder mittens.” Was this cat a human in a prior life that killed somebody with his bare hands? I can’t remember at this point if this was ever said in the first book, but it certainly is never referred to in later volumes. I've actually wondered about this as I've listened to books in this series! If you don't mind the over-the-top southernness, you may enjoy this box set and series as much as I have.

Victoria is a fantastic character. Her familiar, Professor Studmuffin Salvitore III, is an amazing character! I liked the shinny detective too. The storyline is original, funny, and entertaining. If you like paranormal cozy mystery, this series is for you! Louise Cooksey did a great job bringing the stories to life. Wonderful box set!

I binge listened to Witchy Business Mysteries 1-3 box set by Maddy Savanna. I thoroughly enjoyed the three books, which moved smoothly from one to the next. Victoria Fox is a car mechanic, owner of a car repair business and a non-practicing witch! With her cat familiar, Professor Studmuffin Salvitore, Boxie, Travis, and others the quirky pals solve murders and deal with other “shinanigaters”. Victoria is a great funny character, with a good sense of humor, and I love her gushing over her cat and her pet names for him (such as “Fluffer-Stinker”). The narration by Louise Cooksey is absolutely perfect! Her performance, including the voices, tone, and inflections, adds immensely to the story and brings it to life. I am definitely going to read the next box set! I received a free audiobook code for my honest review.
