Publisher's summary

Zinnia Riddle has been through a rough patch, but she's not broken. This witch is tougher than she looks. Yank off her arm? She'll patch it back on with some black scarabyce blood. Mess with her coworkers? She'll grab her purse full of magic and come for you!

Now that she's the boss of her own department, life seems simple enough. Sure, there are strange creatures crawling out of the ceiling, but that's life in a magical town like Wisteria. But when two of her coworkers go missing, Zinnia springs into action.

All this nonsense with the third floor has gone on long enough. If nobody else is going to fix the problem, she will. With the help of her friends, Zinnia whips up a new potion and takes a journey to somewhere she's never been.

Will the gang be able to defeat an enemy unlike any they've ever seen? Or will they be too distracted by their new powers? Only time will tell, and time is a fickle monster, indeed.

THE JOURNEY IS MORE THAN AN ADVENTURE

WISTERIA WRINKLE is the second book in the Wisteria Witches, City Hall series. They do need to be read in the order of release and they are intertwined with the Wisteria Witches series. While you don’t necessarily need to read that series, there are references that will make more sense if you know the characters and circumstances. I would recommend reading this one after WICKED WISTERIA. (That’s where I am in the series.)

I love this series and its companion. The many magical beings and the humor keep me glued to my car seat long after I have turned off the engine. I love the characters and how they interact and speak to each other – like true friends and coworkers.

In this particular episode, the journey is more than an adventure. It is a lifetime and … well, I don’t want to give anything away, but that wrinkle in the title isn’t referring to anyone’s laugh lines!

I particularly loved the Dr. Who and Star Trek (red shirt) references. Those had me laughing extra hard.

I don’t know yet what the next title in this series is, but I know that I am looking forward to it and the rest of the Wisteria town antics.

Narration: Rosemary Benson continues to be a perfect choice for voicing the many characters in the Wisteria City Hall, especially snarky Margaret.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

City Hall isn't what it appears to be

Zinnia Riddle and her co-workers learn more about themselves and pull together to rescue the "red shirts" in this installment of the Wisteria Witches Mysteries. They end up in a dimension reached by an accordion floor and are taken by time worms. Margaret can't seem to keep her mouth shut and ends up a statue and the group finds that the creatures that are slipping through a portal in time into their world are the result of a time loop that needs to be closed. The problem is, the magic of Zinnia and her co-workers doesn't work in the other world.

The author comes up with an interesting and entertaining story line that shows different magical entities working together to close a wrinkle in time. I really enjoyed listening to the book.

I received the book from the author and this is my true and honest review.

What an elevator!

supernatural, witches, friendship, family-dynamics, fantasy

Forward to the past? Zinnia (a witch), and her coworkers (a witch, a troll, a card mage, and others) from city hall wind up doing some very interesting and unexpected time traveling to a real sci fi of a situation courtesy of an elevator portal! A very busy story that kept my attention all day while doing the odious chores. Amazing!
The narrator is Rosemary Benson who has a very large entourage of character voices.

Wisteria Wrinkle

A wrinkle in time can cause so many problems if not dealt with properly. I loved listening to this book and the crew at the City Hall. So much fun with drama and witty banter. I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble Zinnia can get into next!

Oh Miss Zinnia Riddle

Zinnia Riddle is greatly written! Miss Pepper has quite a way with words. Also developing awesome characters and story lines.
I'm really enjoying the happenings of wisteria. This book is quite witty and definitely worth your read. If you have not done so also check out her other series with the three an amazing Z's, including Zinnia Riddle at her best.
Keep the stories coming these are very much enjoyable.

Rosemary dose an awesome job in her performance this book

Fantastic!

I just absolutely LOVE these books!!! Zinnia and her friends are hilarious! The narrator for this book (and the last) speaks too slowly, and her voice is too low. I upped the speed to 1.15, and it was perfect. She does the voices well, but I still miss the previous narrator, and I'm looking forward to having her back in the next book.
