Not a Favorite

I listened to this because it was free and because of the connection to Zig Ziglar whom I really like.

What I liked: The narration was done well.

What I didn’t like: Scripture was taken out of context two or three times. I don’t like when people take a Scripture and bend it into something different they want to be true. I would rather no Scripture at all.

I also don’t buy into the, “you have to love yourself.” We already do love ourselves. One of the Scriptures taken out of context was “love your neighbor as yourself.” Then she explains God wants us to love ourselves first so we can love others. This is not accurate. He doesn’t command us to love ourselves. He commands us to love Him and love (care for) our neighbors the same way we love and care for ourselves.

Perhaps some people new to self improvement will like this. She comes across as a pleasant person. This was a light introduction for her business.

Motivational Reinforcement

Good motivational book. Sometime I need to be re reminded how to see and interpret life.
Struggled with the depressing death stories in the end, so book ended sad.

Powerful stuff.

Makes me want more. I was sad when it ended. Someone else feels the same way I do or someone’s gone thru this that I’m going through

Couldn't make it aThrough

I struggled to finish this one... even at 1.3 speed. The narrator was a bit too bubbly and the story and narrator seemed a bit out of touch and over the top. There wad no ah ha moments or anything that really stood out to me.

Great right now introspective guide

A nice listen short and to the point, to focus more on your personal internal talk and beliefs versus the imagined and thought. Love how the author is very transparent making her relatable to and the examples given when taken onboard are good fuel for a productive introspective session of weeding out self sabotaging actions.
