Publisher's summary

Secrets can kill.

The Goddess of Fire calls from the Isle of Stone, and Caelan must obey.

But the new king must first unravel a lifetime of secrets if he wants to have any chance of saving Drayce’s life.

Caelan and his companions battle dragon clans and cranky gods in their quest to protect their world from the Goddess of the Hunt.

And if they’re lucky, they might even get a little help from an unexpected source.

Wings of Fire is the fourth book in the six-book Godstone Saga fantasy series and is not a stand-alone. The story contains danger, secrets, bossy gods, stolen kisses, a new king finding his way, a possessive boyfriend, magic, and lots of delicious angst.

This is my favorite so far!!!

I have loved this book! Of the godstone saga so far I have loved this story the most. The mythology and culture of the dragons is interesting and we learn so much more about Drayce (including his real age). Also what isn't to love about Calen and Drayce finally getting it on!

“Don’t you ‘smoldering ember’ me!”

Wow. I’ve devoured this series and this book rocked me to my very soul. It was outstanding. I didn’t think it was possible to fall in love with these characters more, but it happened!

This audiobook narrator is outstanding. He brings the characters alive past the pages of this book and throughout the series.

Absolutely dive into this book! You will not be disappointed!

Love this!

I am obsessed with this series. This was the first one not to technically end on a cliffhanger, though I'm already reaching for the next book. Amazing characters, amazing narrator!

amazing series

love the books, the story, characters, lore and world - everything

I was impressed that this book in particular delved into the nastier side of the mind when dealing with literally insane stuff in life. spoiler below with comment

It was tough to listen through the events leading up to and during rayne’s suicide attempt. having lived with those feelings myself and had family members make unsuccessful attempts in the past, the emotions and churn rayne experiences feels really authentic. my only comment is the recovery felt glossed over. the revelations, apologies, lessons learned, etc were all really profound for the story. and I understand that for the narrative adding in a realistic recovery timeline wouldn’t work for the overall story. but the reality is just after getting to the point of making an attempt, even if the damage is healed immediately after, you’re going to be just broken. for like a while. how rayne was portrayed by the second day is more where you might find the person weeks to months after an attempt depending on level of support, medication (if it works) and therapy. but as I said, I understand the need to speed up his recovery

probably the best thing done in the writing to show more realistic recovery was mentioning how much more fragile and withdrawn both rayne and drayce were following both of their traumas. that is very much true to life and was refreshing that is was included as opposed to being glossed over.

anyways, on to the next book!
