Wild and sweet romance

I loved Brindle and Trace’s story! Brindle was always the wild child who didn’t want to be pinned down. She returns from her trip to Paris with a bun in the oven and sets the small town rumor mills on fire.

“I like hearing you say I’m yours... Then tell me again so I can hear it in my dreams.”

Trace and Brindle really needed to grow throughout this story. They have always had a wild on again/off again relationship. They both need to learn to forgive and allow themselves to just love each other.
I really loved the narration! Savannah Peachwood has become one of my favorite narrators.

4.5 Rebel Stars!

I loved this sweet, heartwarming and steamy romance. I have been so excited for Brindle and Trace's story and it was all I hoped for and more! Brindle and Trace have been close friends and on-again off-again lovers since they were young teens. They are both wild, and rebellious, and would fight as passionately as they loved, and they always had each others back. They knew each other better than anyone, but unfortunately they couldn't be honest about their feelings for each other. When Brindle comes home from Paris with a baby bump, Trace is hurt and furious that she would fall for someone else, and they weren't here taking care of her. But he would, whether the baby was his or not. When Trace steps up to the plate, there is no stopping him. He has played by her rules long enough, now he was in charge. I loved how they were friends and lovers for so long but knew it was time to break old childish patterns and learn how to have a mature, forever, loving relationship. They worked hard to be better, no matter how they might stumble along the way. Brindle and Trace were so much fun, and I really loved the swoony gestures that Trace made! Of course their family interactions were priceless as well, especially a few scenes with Brindle's parents that had me laughing out loud.
Narrators Savannah Peachwood, and Brian Pallino are so perfect as Brindle and Trace. Their expressive voices and ability to easily move between fun and flirty to impassioned and poignant is incredible. I love listening to them both and they definitely make this story even better.

Love Story

I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook of Wild, Crazy Hearts by Melissa Foster. It caught my attention from the very beginning and I was hooked. The narrators Savannah Peachwood and Brian Pallino did an amazing job narrating their story. I felt transported into their story and could picture every scene in my head. Brindle Montgomery and Trace Jericho have a long and steamy relationship. Brindle is confused in her head and wants to see if their is more to future besides steamy bedroom trysts so she decides to go to Paris for a while to step away and see how she really feels about Trace. Once in Paris she realizes she is pregnant by Trace and now has to process this and decides to stay in Paris a little while longer. Once she goes back home, she needs to tell Trace about the baby and see how he reacts but things gets fumbled and she lies and says it's someone else's. Trace is hurt but later Brindle tells him the truth and they can finally come to terms with the pregnancy and realize they really do love each other in more ways than one. I really loved listening to their story very much.

Real chance at that one love you have held on to through it all. First date of a twelve year relationship. A beautiful gift that causes a storm and then a calm. Trace and Brindle have a part of each other's lives for a very long time. With this installment from Melissa Foster we find that a second chance is not what is needed. That first true chance will take these two far and wide. The back story was just that the back of a new future together.

Trace and Brindle have been a part of the stories for several books. We get their story with their history, the present and a tiny glimpse to a future they can have together. We watched Brindle grow and change. We see Trace really did know his Mustang. Just know this whether you are old or new to this series you will pick up the threads of the on again off again relationship between them. Its almost a friends-to-lovers, second (first) chance romance. These two had a lot to learn and a lot to understand about themselves and each other.

Having had the pleasure of both reading and listening to this one. I can say that listening opens up more understanding and a deeper level of enjoyment. You get to see things in a different way. Very much enjoyed Savannah and Brian. Brian nailed male perspective with excellent pitch and tone.

great read

I have read all of Melissa's books. I now listen to her audiobooks. I love audiobooks because it lets me listen while I drive. Audio is gread at this time. With now working from home, i get to listen while doing work.
Trace is a sexy cowboy who has had Brindle is a head strung girl. You can not push her into anything. The two have been on and off "friends with benefits". Although, Trace didn't see it that way. Brindle left for Paris, Trace doesn't know why. Upon her return she is with child. At first no one know who the father is. You will love this book. It is a stand-alone with a HEA.

Sweet story

Brindle and Trace have been on again and off again since they were teenagers. They both are stubborn and like to break the rules. In this book they have to fight for each other and learn how to better communicate so they can have a chance for long term love. I really enjoyed this book. This was the first book of the Bradens and Montgomery’s that I have read. I will be looking up some of the other siblings to read their stories.

Trace & Brindle

I listened to the audiobook as well as having read this book that brings the Braden and the Montgomery clans together. Savannah Peachwood and Brian Pallino were new narrators for me, but I have to say they did a wonderful job of bringing these two lovers to life and added so much to the story telling.

Trust and communication are two things that both Brindle “Mustang” Montgomery and Trace “Cowboy” Jericho desperately need to work on.

They have a non-traditional relationship and are more than best friends with benefits since teenagers. Brindle is a wild child at heart and has never wanted to be tied down or viewed marriage the way other women do. At least that’s what she’s always thought. They fight like teenagers, lashing out at each other and pretending they don’t care, but pretending to be able to easily walk away is not working.

Brindle takes a solo trip to Paris to sort out her life, leaving Trace behind. When she extends her stay this only hurts Trace further, being the one left behind. Trace has always played by Brindle’s rules, but this trip to Paris without him makes him decide he’s taking the reins from now on, until she comes back with a revelation of her own.

Never professing their love for each other for fear of pushing the other away, hurt causing them to let accusations fly. This is how they’ve always operated, but clearly it’s not working. Each takes steps to grow up and learn to be better communicators starting with telling the truth. It’s not an easy path to take, especially for Brindle who enlists the aid of the married women in her family to help teach her to become a better communicator without running away.

Trace for his part, is relieved to finally do all the things he’s wanted to do with Brindle, starting with dating like a traditional couple instead of just hanging out and hooking up, but he also has his fair share of growing to do.

I really liked Trace. He was what you’d expect in a hero, but so much more. His pride more than anything else is what caused him to let Brindle think he could be tempted by another pretty face. When they both leave themselves exposed and vulnerable it’s touching and beautiful.

Passion and heat is never a problem for Trace and Brindle, but it’s the time they take to listen to the other and the efforts they make to become the couple they were always mean to be that grabs your heart. As with all of Melissa Foster stories you get to see family and old friends and she takes you on another wonderful ride with Wild, Crazy Hearts!

Wild & Crazy couple

I was wondering how this story would go with us already knowing that Trace and Brindle were together before she jetted off to Paris. But this story was great! We already knew that Trace and Brindle had a very fire-y relationship. They both are wild are heart and don't like being told what to do, plus they were hiding their true feelings from one another. Both Brindle and Trace thought they were protecting their hearts by not completely giving them to each other, when they were actually driving a wedge between them. This one came through with lot's of hot and crazy times. This story's steam level was definitely on the high side. Regardless of the state Brindle was in and the uncertainty of their relationship, these two could not keep their hands off each other. But I loved that their feelings for each other remained so "like new" since they had been together for so many years. It was good to see them solidify their relationship. The narration was good as well. It brought the story to life and provided the effective feel of the scenes happening throughout.
