One-Mile and Brea

Avoidance of the truth is the root of all problems here.

Brea is truly sweet, innocent and pious. Bryant Cutter has claimed her only to shut down everyone else. Always her best friend but definitely not an innocent. He’s publicly claimed her to shut down the dangerous player One-Mile Pierce Walker.

Brea is drawn to him, lit afire by him. While she would do anything for Cutter, the only man she’ll give everything to is Pierce. He hold not just her body but her heart.

His job is dangerous and he is danger. It oozes from his pores. When he finds himself in a situation he cannot escape from, he learns that he loves the girl that occupies every space in his mind, his pretty girl, Brea.

This book end with an emotional cliffhanger. He’s confessed his hell to her and is called to duty. Brea will either stay or run and he’s worried about the latter.

Good narration. Now for book 2!!

What a great read. I’ve read (listened) to many books and Christian Fox is that narrator to curl you all over your body. Shayla is a great author on to book two,

This is an all-time favorite of mine. How can it be that so few have read and reviewed this book? Everything about it is perfect. I can't believe I didn't own all three in the series, but now I do! On to Wicked Ever After...

What a cliff hanger

It took me a bit to get interested in this book. The narrator was great as a man but not too fond of a female. The story line kept my interest.... Then boom a horrible cliff hanger.....

Obsession or true love?

I had my reservations about purchasing this audiobook but I am happy that I did! Pierce and Brea truly are opposites. Their instant attraction to one another quickly turns into obsession. Brea is sweet, loving, naively optimistic and extremely sheltered for a 22 year old. Whereas Pierce is strong, decisive, protective with a touch of arrogance and forthright with honesty. I love how he own up to his choices and decisions. Together they are passionate and complement each other. However, their relationship may be doomed for failure because of Brea’s inability to take a stand (spinelessness) and Pierce’s arrogantly haughty attitude ( don’t give a fuck)! Christian Fox’s performance was phenomenal! However I think a female co-narrator would have made this even better. I also HATE cliffhangers so that made this less enjoyable for me.

This book was so damn good, I need book 2 Now, All her books are good.

Ends on a cliffhanger!

Make sure you have your credit ready because their story continues in book 2 and this one ends on a cliffhanger. This story was amazing though. Very captivating! The narrator was great as well.

OMG

every performance by Christian Fox is my new favorite. Dear God this takes the cake. Please give this guy his lifetime achievement award and the author a gold medal.

Sexy As Sin!

I always adore listening to Shayla Black novels and Christian Fox is one of my top fave male narrators. I love this series and highly recommend spending a credit on this audiobook! I am tempted to buy book 2, “Wicked Ever After,” on Kindle just to finish the the story of One Mile and Brea, but I can’t pass up the possibility of the finale being narrated by Christian Fox in the future.
