Absolutely Great Intro into Wicca

I've only just dipped my toes into Wicca/WitchCraft, and am still figuring out if it's right for me. I've done a lot of research and continue to do so by reading many different authors' books on Wicca and The Craft. Lisa Chamberlain's "Wicca for Beginners" is a fantastic first step into learning about this world. I was blown away by her ability to take this plethora of information and break it down into a reader-friendly format. Her words were genuine and informative, and by the book's end, I only wanted more. I am very excited to pursue further reading into the world of Wicca and WitchCraft. I will definitely be buying some of the other books that she's written. Thanks Lisa, it was an enlightening and very enjoyable listen!

The book have me insight into beliefs that I have held for so long and didn't really understand. The path to my spirituality is clearer now than it has ever been! Thank you my friend for recommending this and the author for writing it

An incredible read for those looking to learn the

This book is what got me started in the Craft! Lisa is very unbiased, and uses a very practical approach in her books, which I absolutely love! She also has a list of recommended readings at the end of each of her books, which I have found invaluable as I learn more and more about the craft! Now, I have been practicing witchcraft and Wicca for a little over a year now, and have never found anything else so fulfilling! Thank you Lisa for introducing me to this truly Magickal religion!

Excellent book for the beginner or explorer

Very easy listen w/ all the important elements included when exploring Wicca. Happily, no weird turns into the super 'magical' parts and instead keeps things simple and direct w/ 'props', spells, etc. I especially like the chapter including manifestation, as that's such a huge part of my practice. Chapters are short but full of information and a great stepping stone to a more in depth book on religion or Wicca.

Good listen for beginners

I am an independent believer seeking a different belief system other than monotheism. And honestly, I recommend new beginning wiccans to read this text. As the author states, it's easy to digest, understand, and better outlook. Nowhere it states any sort of bias or negative atmosphere, and in some chapters, is blunt to admit wicca is an easy religion to understand depending on that person. It's a very open religion in a gray area, but as a positive output.
I also encourage Christians to read this, rather than be brainwashed by ones belief about wicca. One would be surprised how different and civil the religion is from a different text.

Great Book!!

I LOVED this book. It serves as an excellent guide for those interested in learning about the craft but have nowhere to start. I also loved how the author tried their best to keep it as unbiased as possible. They even stated tgat their opinion might be unconsciously biased due to the nature of how different wicca is for every practitioner.
I would have liked some more extensive correspondence tables, but i can just find them online :)

A Masterful Intro to Wicca

After a decade spent away from the Craft, I recently was drawn back to Wicca. But after a decade of following another path I decided that I needed a refresher and so purchased Ms. Chamberlain's book as a beginning. I was impressed almost from the start by her candid and informative approach. Though meant as an overview I found it most useful to determine what course of study I would pursue from this point onwards. I especially found her approach to the history of the craft informative, as she went beyond the myth of the Witch Cult in Europe to point out that modern Wicca really was mostly a modern religion, of modern origins, and that the pioneers of this new faith, Gardner, Valiente, Buckland and Sanders, gifted us with something beautiful, something blessed, something quite sacred and profound. In years to come, concise and informed summary of what Wicca is all about. Thank you!

great reference for beginners

What I liked most about this book was that the author presented a broad perspective without bias. This approach is excellent for those who are new to Wicca. I really like howhe encourages self development of one's beliefs and path. She accurately describes the fact that interpretations of Wicca will vary widely and there is no right or wrong way, just whatever feels right to you that harms none.

A good little intro

I'm just getting interested in pursuing Wiccan practices in my own eclectic way. This book is a very quick and easy read, just a small taste of the history, beliefs, and Craft. If you're looking for a way to dip your toe into the practice, this is a nice start. However, it is certainly just a minute fraction of the tip of the iceberg, and you will absolutely need to read other titles if you intend to pursue this faith and its practices further, even from a beginner's standpoint. Still worth the listen.

Good Overview of Wicca

A very brief overview of Wicca. This book can easily be read in one sitting. It offers a quick look into Wicca, its celebrations and rituals, its history, and ways to continue the path if you wish. It's also good for people just looking for information about the Craft.

Great starting point

I found that this book was a great starting point for anyone looking to get into wicca or to just learn the basics of the belief. Really shows you the untold side of the practice. I just thought this book was okay. I found other books that were a bit beginner friendly to me by that I mean it got straight to the point and I preferred that better. I do love a few of Lisa's books however. The Herb and Oil books are great!

Very informative. I enjoyed listening this and finding there are no set rules or ways to live by, other than to harm no one. You are free to believe as your heart and intuitions lead you.

Well written and very informative

This was simple and beautiful. I know very little about Wicca and am trying to learn. The author provides straightforward descriptions of the major points of Wicca, while making it absolutely clear that there is no "one true way". I feel that I learned a lot.

Amazing and loved it

I came into this book with a open mind as I am finding my way in this universe. Overall I was worried about the read with what I've been told as a kid. But the fundamental teaching of everyone has they're own way of Wicca helped me to develop my belief and seeking as I begin my journey. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is entering the wiccan way.

Very informative

I found this book as a recommendation on a website for people trying to find what pagan path to follow, and this book is great. At a low price, it gives you great and basic information on the beliefs and practices of Wicca. It's written from a very open perspective, which encourages readers to take what information feels right to them and discard the rest, without bias.

Absolutely fantastic!

Being new to the craft, I'm trying to absorb as much knowledge as I can and Lisa's book is amazingly easy to understand. She's very knowledgeable when it comes to this subject and she writes with ease. Considering I usually finish a beginner's book and think ok well im confused, but not at all with this book. I highly recommend it for beginners as well as the seasoned witch.

Very nice Beginners Guide

This is a very good beginners book. It provided a little history, descriptions of Wicca and Witchcraft and helped to explain about Covens, Circles and Solitary practice. The author provided helpful tables of correspondence and a nice ritual of celebration. She does a fairly good job of covering a lot of topics in a small, easy to read guide. I especially like that she encouraged and provided a comprehensive suggested reading list. It is very important to realize that any beginners guide is just going to touch on the surface of the subject and that a lot of work and dedication will be required to truly understand and honor life as a Wiccan.

Very helpful

I found this book very helpful and insightful for a beginner who is learning the craft on her own for the first time. This guild is quite detailed and easy to read, it previews many different aspects of the Wicca religion in a non bias way for those who are coming from a Christian upbringing. The author has many other books that focus solely on certain topics to the craft/religion and I am looking forward to reading them all.
