This audiobook presents the case for loving the local church. It paints a picture of the local church in all its biblical and real life guts, gaffes, and glory in an effort to edify local congregations and entice the disaffected back to the fold. It also provides a solid biblical mandate to love and be part of the body of Christ and counteract the "leave church" books that trumpet rebellion and individual felt needs.

Why We Love the Church is written for four kinds of people - the committed, the disgruntled, the waffling, & the disconnected.

Excellence scripture reviews of the church and evaluating why we are here is the church. the only negative would be, does not clearly state what the scripture states that salvation is by grace through faith alone in Christ alone, we don't have to yield or Surrender anything all we have to do is trust in Jesus Christ as our Savior and we are redeemed, no action required on our part but simple faith and rest

This is the most hope-filled counter-argument to the dearth of the-church-is-failing literature that has captured the attention of church and org leaders for the past few decades. Every chapter had me yelling “Yes! This!” and “Amen!” For the record, my church background is more varied than both of the authors, and I still think they have the most wise, long-view perspective out there. Aren’t we tired of mustering some grand, revolution of the church every decade or so? What kind of firm foundation can we present for the next generation of the church? If you have ever been discouraged or confused about this, read this book.

A refreshing, biblically-grounded perspective on why we shouldn’t abandon the institutional church.
