Absolutely awesome and insightful

Absolutely awesome and insightful. He adds a well needed perspective on cultural theory. If you only read portions make it the first, 27, and 28 chapters
Again absolutely amazing read

Great book, but not for a Leyman.

Fantastic book, deeply thoughtful, and well written. I enjoyed it so much I am buying a hard copy as well. But, this is not a book just anyone can track and follow, but that’s ok. I would not change anything. Well done.

Intellectual to a fault

I think this was really well-written, but truthfully so much of it was over my head that I struggled to keep up with portions of it. I enjoyed it to a degree and thought Mr Watkin seemingly did a good job walking thru Scripture in the way he did, but I think I may have been a bit out of my league at times.

Great analysis with lots of references

This was a great review of seeing through the lens of the bible to the culture and worldviews of today

Excellent reasoning for a modern Christian based on biblical text. His vocabulary is high but able to reach the masses

Mind blowing book

This was a masterpiece of developing a Christian worldview in our day. He does a splendid job of knitting together both ancient and modern thinkers on the Bible. Well worth your time!

So many useful and practical insights for life as a believer in this confusing modern age. I’m thankful for Watkin’s hard work on this volume.

Intellectual and Inspirational!

Excellent! The comprehensive view from Genesis to Revelation and the impact on culture was an intellectual and inspirational study. It is a long book, but engaging all the way. I felt as though I was in a masters level university course.

Manual for Christian Cultural Engagement

Great book! Long book. Definitely a tome. But it’s worth reading through and using as a manual going forward.

A holistic comparison of modernity and scripture

This is a solid theological work. Great depth, breath and incorporation of deep thinkers from across the centuries and diverse cultures.

Of you are a student of scripture, history, and culture, I predict you will love this book.

I picked this volume because it was Christianity Today's book of the year. It did not disappoint.

It was a long listen on Audible. Worth every minute. There are some things I'll never look at the same way again.
