A must read.

This book will answer those questions that keep you from embracing fully the truths of Christianity. It will challenge you to look at facts and deal with them accurately. It will bring you to a crossword. For those that embrace these truth this book will help you correctly communicate the truth to others.

Christian intellectuals need apply

A very challenging and engaging listen. What a mind?! What a brave honest soul this woman is. She is a wonder and her work is full of conviction and doubt, basics and revelation. It is at times quite dense and challenging in that sense but I believe it is necessary given the importance of what she has accomplished with this very original and contemporary apologetic. Thank you so much for pouring into this work. It is a very important addition to the genre!

A thoughtful, intelligent exploration

A really thoughtful, well-written, and smart exploration of the heart of Christianity. This addresses key questions for those who are seeking, or for those who wish to understand more about their faith. Definitely recommend.

Very good explanation of Christianity

I heard Rebecca speak on Tim Keller's Gospel in Life podcast and that lead me to this book. I really enjoyed her down to earth exploration of Christian beliefs and the way she compares them to secularism. If you're curious about Christian thought listen to this book, I think it will help you.

Great Apologetical Book

I personally enjoy books read by the author. It makes them more ‘alive’ for me. The content was solid and Rebecca did a good job unpacking the questions that make up each chapter. Overall, I thought everything was great. I plan to listen to it again.

Must Read for Devoted, Doubting, OR Dismissive.

My small group assigned this book so I downloaded the kindle and the audible and mostly listened on walks with the dog. I found myself listening to whole chapters over and over in order to fully digest all the brilliant research, anecdotes, and truth contained in this book. I enjoyed the author's own voice doing the narrative and applaud the sound engineers for the very excellent quality of the mix. (one repeated sentence was inadvertently left in, but no matter; I can't remember what or where after all). I truly appreciate both the personal resonance with the question of each chapter which McLaughlin illustrates with personal testimony and her objectivity as she also sheds sympathetic light on the multiple other worldviews which beg each question. She gives comprehensive and loving, respectful arguments for Christianity in it's purest form, that of complete surrender to and trust in Jesus Christ.

Excellent!

A great book to share with those you care about who have questions or are doubtful about the Christian faith. Very informative and thoughtful in her approach. She leaves no stone uncovered and is not afraid to point out failures of Christian’s throughout history and today when needed. Yet she allows Jesus to speak and comes back to the foundations of scripture and the truth that lies there that allows our lives to have a compass to live by and gives us the greatest hope.

Very thought provoking as well as informational and thoroughly biblical. It is very rare these days to find Christians books that don't just offer shallow encouragements.
