As a Black man, a conservative, a father, a husband, and a Christian, I cannot remain silent any longer. What I witnessed during the presidential election of 2016 caused me to erupt with emotion. All of the negativity and deceit that was transpiring seemed to be casting a shadow over what I believed to be the most important issues affecting our country's future.

Why I Couldn't Stay Silent tells a story of one man's pursuit to shine light in the darkness and make sense out of the gloom clouding our country's greatness. This book may challenge everything you currently believe about racism in America. My hope is that it causes you to reflect and ponder the solutions I present as possible answers to how we may come together and achieve excellence as a united nation. Take this journey with me as I walk through the good, the bad and the ugly of being a Black conservative in America.

David's political views as a black conservative is great and I applaud him for having the guts to ler the Democratic party that just because a person is black, the party is not entitled to your vote. Great to see beautiful black men and women stand for truth and justice in the the world of the "Business as usual" Democratic party.

Well done! This audio is well narrated and covers a variety of current issues concerning politics (both Obama & Trump), Christianity, family, and the media. Very informative! I enjoyed listening to it and just purchased the book so I can lend to friends and family. David’s love for God, family and our Country is displayed in every chapter. Highly recommend regardless of which party you support.

Passion.

One of the greatest things about David J Harris Jr is how passionate he is when he speaks. You hear it in his podcasts and very much in this audiobook.
The story is great for anyone who may have had their eyes closed to certain situations facing the USA, and the world, to at least think and make inquiries to things one may have been told. It’s perfect for those whose eyes have been slightly open, and open them fully once done with the book.
He is very passionate about God, Jesus, and his beliefs, but don’t let that hold keep you from purchasing this book if you are a non-believer. He has his beliefs and it is what helps guide him through his days. He is a very passionate Christian and American. His words help me to really understand what it means to be a good American, myself.
