Classic story with Peter Hudson doing it justice

First off, for the price of a dollar, you get what you pay for in my opinion. Mr. Hudson isn't the best narrator I've heard, but he's also not the worst and managed to be enigmatic and have good range where it counted. As far as White Fang goes, you'll find within the first few chapters Jack London has earned his reputation as being able to drop readers into some of the most intense and real experiences they can imagine. For $1, you can't go wrong with this one.

Great book but...

I've read the hard copy version of White Fang and loved it. My one problem with this version is that it sometimes jumps back to another part of the book. Other than that, the narator does a great job with this one.

Another excellent book by Jack London...

Another excellent book by Jack London with an equally worthy reading performance by Peter Husman. I liked the descriptions of the life inside the indian village with Grey Beaver and the Puppy Pack.

Glitchy and repeats

Peter Husmann did an awesome with this book with the exception of editing. Certain chapters repeat forcing you to constantly try to determine where you are in the story. This made it difficult to follow. I suggest waiting until they fix the errors before downloading but other than that this is thus far my second favorite book (FYI my favorite was The Call of the Wild). Excellent story and Perter Husmann does a perfect job reading it.

Technical issues

Please note: There are some technical issues at chapter 5, 12 and 14 where there are parts that are being repeated.

great story love the narration but...

There are chapters and sections that are duplicated and have to skip over them but other than that I quite enjoyed it.

One of the best Classics...but

Jack London weaves words to create a beautiful setting. Absolutely love this novel. The narrator is solid, but is this abridged or unabridged, for Chapter 3 of Part II (I believe that is the chapter) gets cut off early. It is the chapter where One Eye watches the Lynx kill the porcupine. This part is cut out of the chapter in the audio book. Tis a bummer.

Very Enjoyable

Who woulda thought this book would tug so hard at the heartstings? I thought I had know the story from the movie(s) but I should have known better. Makes me long for the two great dogs I have had in my life. what a blessing they were and this story helps reinforce their gifts to me.

Great value classic.

A classic yarn from a consummate storyteller, the story of White fang and his journey from the wild to part domestication. Brutal in places but warmth is also present in White fang's travails with dogs, wolves and humans. Badly brutalized White Gang's survival instinct and animal cunning are all that separate him from imminent death. Heart rending but leaves you with a warm satisfaction.
