Publisher's Summary

Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!

Whispers at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of The New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel, Seaside Whispers. The story conveys all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

Having a mad crush on her boss’s son, Matt Lacroux - an intriguing mix of proper gentleman and flirtatious bad boy - is probably not the smartest idea for single mother Mira Savage. Especially when the company and her job, is already on shaky ground. But as a Princeton professor, Matt’s life is hours away from Mira’s home on Cape Cod, keeping him safely in the fantasy-only zone. And as a single mother to six-year-old Hagen, with a floundering company to save, fantasies are all she has time for.

With hopes of becoming dean off the table, and too many months of longing for a woman who lived too far away to pursue, Matt’s publishing contract couldn’t have come at a better time. He heads home to Cape Cod on a brief sabbatical, intent on starting his book and finally getting his arms around sweet, beautiful Mira.

A surprise encounter leads to midnight confessions. The more time Matt and Mira spend together, the deeper their relationship grows, and the love and attention Matt showers on Hagen is more than she has ever dreamed of. But Matt’s sabbatical is only temporary, and Mira’s not saving his father’s company, so she can leave it behind. Will their whispers of love be enough for one of them to change their life forever?

Whispers at Seaside is an amazing book by Addison Cole. It is narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. They did amazing with narration.
I love this book. It is about Matt Lacroux & Mira Savage. Matt is a college professor who is taking a break to write a book. Mira is a single mom of an adorable little boy. She works for Matt's dad. They had previously met and kept in touch ever since. You can't help but fall in love this Matt and Mira. super good book!!

Matt and Mira were wonderful together!

I really liked this romance. This is the tenth book in the Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series but it works perfectly fine as a stand-alone. I have read just a few books in the series and had no trouble keeping up with this one. Addison Cole is the pen name that Melissa Foster uses for the sweeter versions of her books. Whispers at Seaside is the sweeter version of Seaside Whispers. Before trying an Addison Cole book, I had worried that it might feel overly tame and a little too PG for my tastes but there is still plenty of heat to be had in these stories even without detailed sex scenes.

This book is about Matt and Mira and I have to say that I really liked both of these characters right away. Matt is on sabbatical from his job as a professor at Princeton and wants to spend some of his time in Seaside with the bookkeeper that works for his father, Mira. Mira is a single mother to a bright little boy named Hegan. I loved how all three of these characters just seemed to fit together from the very start. Matt and Mira had excellent chemistry while Hegan and Matt bonded over several projects that Hegan proudly called “guy stuff”.

There really weren’t too many obstacles keeping these two apart. Matt’s time in Seaside is temporary but I felt like that was something that could be worked out from the start. I had a great time watching these three come together as a unit and I liked the fact that Mira’s son played such an important role in the story. Matt and Mira do get quite a few moments of time just to be together as adults and I thought that their connection felt very real.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are one of my favorite narrator pairs. I think that their voices really compliment each other well in this kind of audiobook and I was excited to see that they performed this book together. I thought that both narrators did a great job with all of the character voices and brought a lot of emotion and some heat to the story. I think that their talent really added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this book to others. I thought it was a really well-done romance with wonderful characters. I had such a good time watching these three make everything work and become a single unit. I plan to read more from Addison Cole very soon!

I received a copy of this audiobook from the author/publicist.

Great series

Whispers at Seaside is another great addition to the Seaside Summer series. Matt has always focused on his goals, but lately he has been wanting more. Matt spent time with Mira and her son last summer and that is all he can think about, especially when all of his siblings are falling in love. Mira is a single mother who is focused on her son. She has kept in touch with Matt since last summer and is happy when Matt takes a sabbatical and moves back home for a few months. Mira tries to protect herself from getting too attached to Matt, knowing he will be heading back home after his sabbatical. Matt and Mira's relationship starts off as friends first and throughout the story their relationship grows. I fell in love with Matt and Mira from the very beginning. I love Matt's alpha side but also his soft, romantic, nurturing side as well. This is a great series by Addison Cole and I can't wait until the next book.
I really enjoyed the narrators of this audible book. They really brought this book to life.

The Making of a Family

I love single parent falls in love stories. This one does not disappoint.

Mira Savage is a single mother to uber smart Hagen. Sweet, precocious with an unending thirst for knowledge, he is always wanting to know why and asking a million questions. Mira works as the bookkeeper at Lacroux hardware and has had a crush on Matt Lacroux since they met a year ago at an engagement party. But the sexy professor teaches at Princeton and her life is on the Cape, so they remain friends despite their intense mutual attraction, spending time together whenever he visits.

Fate brings them together when Matt takes a three month sabbatical and returns home, giving him the opportunity to move past the friend zone. What ensues is a journey into love and the forging of a family. Matt is a perfect role model for Hagen, patient, kind and so selfless. He has his own issues to deal with and you get to see the Lacroux family dynamic. Mira and Hagen are already a part of it and Mira always puts Hagen first in all things. Watching her take a small slice of happiness for herself and learn to trust in Matt and her own feelings is so relevant in today’s world. I think single parents can truly relate to the push and pull of wanting something for yourself, while always protecting your child.

I listened to the audio book and Andi Arndt & Sebastian York did a great job of bringing them to life. This is a sweet story, with plenty of passion and romance. You won’t be disappointed.

You find more to fall in love with . . .

Whispers at Seaside was a dual POV with a great duo narration (Ardnt and York) that makes you want to step in and get more out of it all. This way you have more than just the surface of things. You can see the heart of it all and the deep emotional effect that go with both Mira and Matt. There was so much love, compassion, passion, emotion, and more.

You have found a sweet romance that filled with tender moments and an undeniable passion without the explicit nature. No matter the context this was on sexy, hot professor and a single, sassy mother. I have to give kudos and more to Melissa Foster. She gives a beautiful written story with each new offering. I have over the course of this last year fallen in love with her characters from the complete Love in Bloom multi-series series. Each new couple have the own individual struggles, needs, desires, hopes and dreams. This one was no exception.

I fell head over heels in love with Mira and Matt. Mira stole my heart because of her sense of self and her soft pride and respect for who she was and what she wanted. Matt, Mira and Hagen have a place with me. It was their interaction with each other that gave the setting a bit more. Matt and Mira both were dealing with a lot of things and the gradual growing relationship gave a bit of stability to their friendship. Having both sides of their perspectives shared made the story that much more enjoyable. We were able to get down to the heart of things.

Love

**Edit to Original Review**
I read Whispers at Seaside a few months ago. Now I just listened to the audio book. I just love the narration by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. I listen to audio books while driving to and from work. Makes the traffic bareable.
I always love returning to the Seaside gang. Matt is my superhero.
Matt fell for Mira a single mom of a smart 6 year old. Matt and Hagen had great friendship. Matt went out of his way for Hagen and treated Hagen as a son. As always Addison Cole wrote a fabulous, amazing book. The ending had me hysterical! That Theresa......

Emotions run deep, but so does the power of pure.

For every moment of sunshine there has been torrents of rain. The Lacroux siblings have weathered tragedy, alcoholism and rebuilding their broken family while finding individual happiness. Now it's Matt's turn to find his happy ending. Whispers at Seaside is a haunting tale of new beginnings and happy endings. Emotions run deep, but so does the power of pure love.

Who couldn't fall in love with Matt and Hagen

Who couldn’t fall in love with Matt and Hagen. Mira and Matt have been flirting with each other for a long time. They met at his brothers wedding and kept in touch. Now Matt is back on the Cape for 3 months or so he thought. Once he gets to know Mira better he realises that he couldn’t go back. Add in Mira’s adorable son Hagen and he is definitely isn’t leaving. Nice to see the original seaside ladies make an appearance and still up to mischief. This was one of my favourite audio books well worth a listen to
