Twists

This had a number of unexpected twists! I enjoyed how the story was told and how the ending brought about peace.

Narrator can’t pronounce a simple Spanish name

Normalize audiobook narrators confirming with authors how to pronounce names if unsure. Every single time the male narrator says the name Lourdes, it sounds like Lord. Maybe it’s my American ears, but I do know some Spanish, specifically Argentinean dialects, and it’s like nails on a chalkboard to me. I don’t expect perfection, but an attempt at accuracy especially with names is important.

I think the narrator for Ines’s perspective would have done a better job covering Whit’s.

Where Library Hides

4/5 14 1/2 hours audiobook but 1.2 just a bit over 12 hours. I had finished the 1st book about a month before. So I was excited when this one came out on 11/5. This is the second part of duology so it picks up right after the 1st ended. It was enjoyable to listen. I finished it in just a few days. Love adventure story set in the late 1800s in Egypt. Overall fun ride with adventure. The magic was explained and used more in this book which more into fantasy fiction than I felt the first book did. How everything was tied up at the end was enjoyable. This as stand-alone would struggle not knowing back stories. But duology worked great from the start of book one all the way through to the end of book 2.

Nailed the ending of the duology!

This was a wonderful, well-paced conclusion to the series! I’ve been waiting after that last cliffhanger and the payoff is really worth it. The author gives great descriptions and a believable magic system

Read it, just read it!

this book made me believe in romance in books again. the characters have flaws and we love them for it and UGH I want to read it again. This book was fast paced, exciting, romantic, heart wrenching, and more!! READ IT!

She's Done It Again

let down

the story felt so half baked.. the first 2/3 of the book dragged so bad mmc is horrible and his actions unforgivable. the end is disappointing because it undermined all the power the fmc had worked to grow into ... whole story was rushed and a let down

I love the whole story the love story and all the action. Had me guessing what would happen next in every chapter.

Slow start but great finish

I really enjoyed the first book and was excited for the second. It was a slow start and seemed to drag on at first but picked up fast. It had amazing twists and turns that left you always guessing. It ends happy.
