great Prequel Need more

Adrienne does a great job with this prequel but need to hear more of Saint and Isolde there is still so much more that we need to this story. I see people commenting on how it felt short or whatever if you are a fan of her writing you will love this and if you like her Fable series this is your cup of tea twist at the end that I need to get closure. I need more Saint I patiently waited for this I will patiently wait for part 2 as long as you write it

What An Adventure!

From start to finish, this story kept me captivated! I discovered this book and wanted more immediately then learned it's only a prequel in a series. Of course, I also devoured the other books in the series, but Saint is my absolute favorite. I truly wished we had a book about the time between this book and the beginning of Fable. The characters are so developed and well thought out, the story completely takes you into another world and time. Beautifully so. I have listened to this one well over 10 times. If only we had more Saint content!

Overall: Great story. Great narration. Great writing.

Loved this book, even knowing what happens with the characters later in the series, it's amazing.

What an adventure!

Wow. I loved this book. It was a wonderful surprise to read. Adventurous, tricky, lots of secrets. Wonderful characters. I can't wait to read Fable. I hope they make a sprayed edge paperback copy of this one to match Fable and Namesake. Excellent narration.

I liked the prior two books and this prequel does not disappoint. Good story and world.

So good it hurts

Young does it again! I don’t usually like preludes. And I had no fondness for Saint’s character in the first book. But this was stellar! And what a chilling ending. Well done.

Excellent filling in of details

this is the story that needed to be told to understand the other 2 books. I'm going back to listen to them both again with the new info I jave now. I have already listened fable a few times bc I loved the narrator's voices. It took longer than I wanted to get used to Isolde's voice in this book. also, did they change the pronunciation of her name from Is-'ol-dee to Is- old? or was that just me? I didn't care for that. but that is truly my only true mark against this series. Excellent group of stories.

Not my favorite prequel

Fable and Namesake were great stories and I was intrigued to read Saint. I would have liked a better connection or more overlap with the previous books and Fable’s story.
