An excellent story of the author's personal war stories delicately interwoven with the Christian faith. Excellent balance between the two topics keeps the reader engaged. Highly recommend to fellow believers and veterans.

I listened to this all at once, I could not put it down. Hung on every word. Recommend to all, especially those who have seen combat, traumatic events, or those in jobs that put you harms way. Already bought copies for veteran friends & family.

Stories of Parallel

I learned so much from this book! Jeff’s war stories paralleled many Bible stories and, as a prior Ranger, I found it funny, enlightening, heartbreaking and eye opening in many ways. But what was most poignant were his connections and travels to the Bible and Holy Land— making intimate connections to the text, terrain and humanity of Christ Jesus- particularly YHWH! Must read!

Battlefield/spiritual book for life lessons!

loved this book! Honestly one of my favorite books I've ever read/listened to! Jeff's personal experiences laced with biblical references was beautiful, touching, and thought provoking! I feel closer to the biblical accounts shared and find a deeper meaning in Bible passages that I have read before. War stories are great but leveraging them to be better men for our families and communities is what it is all about! this book has it all! 5 star reviews all around!!
