Publisher's summary

My name is Alexis, Lexie to most everyone. And I'm a Necromancer.

It's not as much fun as it sounds, but that's not the problem this time. I haven't seen anyone but Miles in the last month since New Orleans. Talking on the phone? Yeah. Well, except for Zeke. A few text messages was all I've gotten. Until now.

We're going on the guys' yearly climbing and camping trip. With all of our secrets out, the tension between everyone is high. Everyone is pissed at each other, and I'm just trying to keep my head above water.

But it's time for a decision. Who am I going to be with? Will I end up with anyone? Will our family stay together?

The storyline takes a turn for the worse..

***Spoiler alert **This particular story line made my skin crawl. I didn't like that these young adults were putting their selves in to a adult situation with the dating scenario. It just made my cringe everytime the story went on talking about all them getting together with her. The book could have been longer. But over all the book was good waiting for the next one. Hopefully it will be better!

Need more!

I love Lexi’s story and the guys. Personally Zeke is my kinda guy. When is the next book coming? The fight for the veil will be great.

Not disappointed

I was hesitant when I noticed the narrators were different for this book than the previous ones, but I honestly didn’t even really notice. Everything flowed nicely and the story continues. This book did seem a little slower than the rest but still good :)

For a full read

It’s apparent to me now that I skim over an awful lot when I read books, especially for the first time. I’ve read some of the books in this series more than once and have actually listened to every one that’s out now. There are entire scenes that I don’t even remember happening! Thank you, audible, and B.L., for this experience. I love this series more than I can even express in words. Thank you.

I love this series so much

New Orleans changed everything. Lexie hasn't seen any of the guy except Miles since they returned. Phone calls and text messages, nothing more. However, now it's time for the guys’ annual climbing and camping trip. With all of our secrets out, the tension between everyone is high. They've decided it’s time for a decision. Lexie needs to choose. If only it were that easy.

August 15th -August 24th. Barely over a week.

I love The Veil Diaries. I love everything about it; Lexie, each of the guys, Rory, Maria. I'm always afraid that I'm going to be disappointed after building such anticipation. There has been no letdown. The attention to detail is superb. It's never rushed, yet it's also never static. It's a natural progression. These relationships feel as real to me as relationships in my own life. They are being built block by block. These relationships are the main focus of the book. It's a very personal book. It's emotional, painful. frustrating. It's a book of doubt, second-guessing, accusations, and angst. At best it's a struggle, at worst an outright fight. But this weight proves the significance of their attachments. They aren't willing to lose one another. They are creating something precious and strong.

I loved the multiple POVs. Loved the revelations. Loved the Veil. Loved the initial outcome (although I know there are still rough patches ahead). Loved the overall story. Love the emotional impact I felt. More than anything, however, I love Lexie, Miles, Asher, Ethan, Isaac, and Zeke. I love them Individually, as friends, and as a group. I love their character growth, their strengths, their weaknesses, their love. I love, love, love this author and this series!

I now hear Lexy as Elizabeth Hart. She has grown into this role nicely and I can't imagine any other voice. I haven't become as fond of Nelson Hobbs but in most cases, he no longer stands out as "wrong" for some of the boys. Hopefully, we will get to a good place during the next book. Maybe as the boys all age, he will seem like a better fit.

Not my cup of tea

Narrator does a great job throughout the series however the story angle drops, romance unreal and lacking true intimacy, it becomes unrealistic and taints the overall feel to the characters and story.

Disappointed

I really was looking forward to this book, I was so interested in the characters and I was looking for more character development I feel like this book was stretched out ! a camping trip did not have to be that long! I felt like I was held in boring suspense the entire book!! ! no one crossed over except Louis, things didn’t start happening until the last hour of the audiobook! we never figured out what Ethan‘s transformation is or if Isaac has something special because he can see dark shadows on people nobody explored how Zeke had a special talent with helping Asher transform due to him fostering and adopting p wolf dogs. The storyline was not for Field I’m sure we’re just setting up for another book senior year but I don’t think Kym had to waste our time with this book! No bad guys from New Orleans! I never knew if the wolves actually moved in ! we don’t know what Miles’ dad was really up to! We still don’t know who is trying to destroy the veil! Lexi went into the veil because alarms went off , had a fight came back bruised and beat up but that’s it? Then the distillery thing that they found in the city and there’s no ghost except the camper ! no questions were answered! I will not recommend this book the others yes this one no it was absolutely disappointing!
