For years I've been struggling to survive the souls still roaming around. The shitheads always seem to find me. Moving from town to town every few months never helped either. More dead just always find me. But things are changing for me now. I'm moving in with my uncle Rory and cousin Tara. I'm finally going to be able to do normal teenage stuff I've been missing out on. Right?

Well, if this one bitch of a ghost could leave me alone on campus that would be great. Especially since I haven't told my new friends about my abilities. Can you believe this? Five good-looking guys practically adopt me on my first day of school and I still think they're a bit nuts for it. Now if I can only keep my life with the dead from mixing with my normal life everything would be great. Yeah...I don't see that happening either. But I'm going to give it a shot.

Who knows? It might work.

This is a great new series

Would you consider the audio edition of Trying to Live with the Dead to be better than the print version?

The story is so well written and the characters are so well rounded that you feel like you know them. Loved the story. I just finished book 1 and I am starting book as soon as I am done writing this review. I no longer look to print versions. I audible.

What did you like best about this story?

The writing, the dialog, the characters oh and let us not forget the narrator.

Which scene was your favorite?

The way Allie touches each of the other people and makes them stronger.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

several lines were laugh out loud funny (my wife and I keep quoting lines to each other) and she breaks your heart when she puts herself on the line to protect her boys.

Audible you need to get number 3 in the pipeline. I'm going to need it in about 19 hours!!

Young adult- not a romance at all.

For a young adult it's not too bad. The plot is not bad. Ghost 101- with learning for the characters. Interesting character backgrounds with hopefully more details in the next ones. Kind of basic writing as you think she is smart, witty and strong but sometime I question her personal thoughts. I found myself think " why would she think that" or " why would she do that". But if your looking for romance move on. There is only noticing her guy friends have nice voices and bodies. Maybe more later? Not sure but I'm going to try the next one.

WOW!! I'm blown away by this series...

A gifted necromancer Lexie moves in with her uncle after a traumatizing event that takes place with her mom. The young ladies at her new school aren't too happy to have her there but a group of guy's takes up with her almost Immediately. After that the group is bonded like glue. As far as I'm concerned this is more of a bromance between Lexie & the guy's than a romance.
There's not much romance between Lexie and her love interest just light flirty banter. The narrator did do a good job with acting out the character voices, but when will audible get it right? And realize theses books are essentially audio plays. Therefore, if you have M&F narrators the audiences want men playing the male parts and women playing the female parts.

Teen horror drama

Its a little juvenile, because the story revolves around a 15 year old who makes friends with a group of guys who drool all over her while being respectful. The ghosts talking to and attacking her make her kind of their damsel in distress, but again she shows she can defend herself. The character development is starting to pick up. Im hoping the mindless teenage babble and empowerment speeches calm down in the next book. I did enjoy it and the narrator did a fantastic job.

frustratingly awesome

A rollercoaster of a book. There were moments where I would worry for maybe a paragraph or two that a lull was beginning but then a twist happens. I had such a hard time putting the dang book down!

Good read, R rated language

Very good teen story, however the f- word is used hundreds of times, making this inappropriate for teen readers.
