If I thought this book had me swooning before, listening to the accents made it worse! Better, I mean! So much better!

It was my first time listening to Stephanie Németh-Parker, and it won’t be the last. As someone who’s lived in Ireland, I can say that she was flawless! The musicality in her voice transported me there.
And Connor… Well, he’s one of my favorites, and he keeps proving why that is again and again.

Beckett Blackwell has been interested in Skyla ever since the first moment he saw her, but he has his work cut out for him. Trusting is not easy for her, especially after being stalked by a maniac when she was a prima ballerina in NYC.
But Beck… His patience, his care, his protection slowly wear down her walls—and they are meant to be.

Stephanie perfectly plays a Skyla who may be afraid but who doesn’t back down. Someone who wants to live her life the way it’s supposed to be lived, her way, and she’s strong enough to do it.
Connor… I loved how he goes from loving and caring into full-on protector mode with amazing, growly touch-her-and-I’ll-unalive-you vibes. The perfect Beck.
And I never thought “Irish” as a pet name could be romantic, but here we are :)

Every single moment of Beck and Skyla together is incredible. They’re super hot, but they’re also sweet—it’s the small gestures and touches, the way they read to each other, the love and care, the way he washes her hair… Beck is the king of aftercare, and Connor was exeptional.
And while Skyla doesn’t need him to care for her, it’s plain to see in Stephanie’s voice that she wants to. He makes her feel safe. Wanted. Treasured.

And when her past catches up to them, it only strengthens what they have and their connection.
Wherever they are, together is home.

This audiobook made me a very happy girl!

This one had my bookish heart!! I love when books mention favorite authors & books! This is book two of the Blackwells of Montana, but can be read as a complete standalone. This one is about Beckett Blackwell, who is a complete goner for the gorgeous redhead with a big black dog that accompanies her around town. That gorgeous redhead is our heroine Skyla, who has left her New York life & her career as a prima ballerina, after an injury. She is also in hiding from an obsessive man, that couldn’t take no as an answer. Beckett has to work for that first date, but that first date ends up being 15 hours long & one for the books (literally)! Beckett is the absolute sweetest man and just wants to take care of Skyla & give her safe haven. He is the definition of a book boyfriend! Skyla is resistant at first, due to her past, but Beckett is a patient man. This book was a reader’s dream & I can’t wait for the next one!!
