Narration

Narration was fire. The premise of the story was good but some of the flow got lost in transition. I wish there was a smoother transition into the plot twists inside the story.

Very intriguing. As the plot untangles, I was on the edge of my seat. I absolutely loved the narrations.

Had to listen to the ending twice because it confused me but overall, a good book.

Chaotic and creepy

This story is a psychological thriller that delivers on the creepy foreboding. The narrator Gigi Reeds did a remarkable job of embodying every character. Her native Oakland cadence grounded the emotional journey of each fragile, chaotic person in a way that is fully immersive. Lawrence’s chapters are dark chocolate ganache over cherries. His voice is heavy and rich, true audio decadence.

TLDR: If you like deeply emotional, psychological thrillers that drag you into the minds of both the victim and the victimizer this story is for you.

When Lies Forget is one of those audiobooks that gets under your skin—in the best possible way. The story itself is layered and unsettling, but what truly elevates it are the performances. Gigi Reeds, in her first major role, delivers Naomi with a tenderness that feels painfully human. You can hear every flicker of confusion, fear, and longing in her voice. It’s raw, emotional, and incredibly nuanced.

Lawrence Baldwin, on the other hand, brings a chilling composure to Marcus. His tone shifts so subtly between charm and menace that you almost miss the moment it turns. It’s the kind of performance that makes you want to rewind, just to catch every detail.

Together, their chemistry builds an atmosphere that’s intimate and haunting. This isn’t just a narration—it’s a full experience. If you love psychological thrillers with emotional depth and unforgettable voice work, this one deserves a listen.

this was my first time reading from this author, the story wasn't bad but it was kinda hard to keep up with honestly. I don't want to spoil it but it was kinda confusing. I'm still not sure I know what all happened 😅
