Let me introduce you to the world around you.

A great listen and mental exercise with over 20, one hour long chapters, it covered a plethora of topics from school vouchers, farm subsidies to, national security and foreign war. 10/10 would recommend to any one trying to grasp the basics of our government and how to begin to understanding the most simplistic interpretation of everyday news.

should be mandatory for every person on this earth

it is an absolute marvelous book that breaks down some of the most complex arguments! it also does a fantastic job to be unbiased and show arguments from both sides no matter how controversial they may be. also the sheer number of topics in this book is mind-boggling! if you are sick and tired of feeling manipulated or being tricked by any media or political commentator I beg you to read this book.

Great, easy-to-read overview of key issues!

At the time of writing, I'm following the 2020 Democratic primary. I was looking for a book that covered election topics so I could better follow the debates and understand the overall process and context better. This book was just what I was looking for! As someone pretty new to these topics, and as a millennial just reaching voting age at the time of the 2008 financial crisis, I found this book easy to understand and really helped me fill in many gaps in my knowledge of American politics and world events.

Everyone should read this (twice)!

Like drinking from a fire hose, but Teri does a fantastic job with the narration that kept me engaged... for 14 hours!!! I will listen again as there was SO much material presented, but definitely gave me background that will help me understand what I see going on in today’s world!

Instructional, not a great audiobook.

The narrator was boring to listen to and it may not be her fault because, the book, while informative (in the most high-level sense) is probably better suited for reference material than a straight-through read.

less fact based and more opinion based

like the title says it's a little bias, but still good information. I recommend the read.

Use of R word

Good book overall, however, I was disappointed she used the R word. Very informative otherwise.
