Publisher's Summary

The epic finale in the What He Doesn't Know duet.

Left or right. It’s that simple, and it isn’t simple at all. If I turn left, the road will lead me back to the man I promised my life to, the one I’d imagined building a family with, the one who’s done everything in his power to get me back. If I turn right, the road will take me to the man I loved first, the man who brought me back to life, the man who would do anything to keep me.

I knew the fork in the road was inevitable; it was the decision I never wanted to make between choices I didn't know I had. And I love them both.

My heart is destined to exist in two equal halves - one with each man. But one half beats stronger, the vein running deepest, and holds my choice in silence long before I know it for myself. The realization of what I have to do, of the heart I have to break, just might break mine, too.

Left or right. All I have to do is take a breath and turn.

AN EPIC EMOTIONAL 10 ⭐️ LISTEN

Another night and day lost in the riveting and emotional world of these three characters and I devoured every beautiful broken second of it. One woman, two men and a heartbreaking decision yet to be made. Well, I thought I knew who I wanted to win but, with each touching torturous chapter hearing from a different POV, my choice would waiver.. however it never truly broke and thankfully Charlie chose right in the end. Her choice was not made easily, it was not made without sorrowful soul-searching and it was made amongst a handful of beautiful times.. because she deeply loved them both. But, even though both men were clinging to hope, one of them was inevitably going to have their heart broken.. yet, in the end, ALL hearts were going to break.. including mine. There were even times when I thought everyone should just stop and walk away.. however this very talented author steered me through those choppy uncharted waivering waters, veered me on to solid ground.. and finally gave me the sunset I was desperate for.

Worth a credit? This is not a feel-good romance and you will not come away unscathed without first shedding bitter-sweet tears.. but it IS epic.. it IS storytelling at its very best.. it holds pain. and passion.. and beautiful words.. and yes, it IS definitely creditworthy. The fantastic narration by Erin, Jason and Sebastian vividly brought the characters, their feelings and their hopes to life and they made this a ten star listen.

My Heart! 10 STARS!

wow, this duet is EVERYTHING!! Not your typical love triangle and I love that so much!!! Book one captured my heart and book two shattered it! I mean ugly cry tear my heart out and break it into a million pieces. I loved this book so hard! Every time I thought I had chosen a side I changed it again. I loved both men in different ways and my heart hurt for all three of them. This story is so real and true to everyday life, it really hit home for me. I cannot say enough! Kandi gave us a phenomenal story that will stay with me for a while.
The narration was perfect! Erin, Jason and Sebastian were amazing and all the things!! I recommend this duet 200%

I knew the ending before I started

somewhat of a spoiler...she picks exactly who you thought she would in the 1st book. So that annoyed me a little since i already knew from a few chapters in who her choice was going to be. I really dislike the woman narrator. You can hear her her every breath & that dip down at the end of her words drove me crazy. Other than that, good writing with good characters.

The back and forth is driving me crazy!

You guys...I’m struggling with this one! The narration is great! In all fairness, I haven’t finshehd it yet mainly because I keep pausing it to yell explicits at the sky, my dogs, inanimate objects. 🤬🤬🤨🤨🤨 The constant back and forth between the main characters is giving me emotional whip lash. For the love of all that is holy pick a corner and f*ing stay in it. Charlie’s plight is becoming tiresome and frankly irritating. The fact that both these men are willingly going along with this...this...what even is THIS thing they’ve entered into 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Bless it. Give me strength.

Not as good as book 1

FIRST OF ALL, if you haven't read/listened this book yet, DO NOT, I repeat, DO FREAKING NOT look at the blurb for the spin off (book 3) that is included in the series list with this DUET. That's right, DU-freaking-ET, meaning two. The blurb gives the entire ending away for this duet and although it is still good to see how they got to the ending, knowing ahead of time which of the men she will choose is not cool.

What He Always Knew is book 2 of the What He Doesn't Know Duet. It is the conclusion of the story for Charlie, Cameron, and Reese. Charlie chooses which man she will be with.

I really liked book 1, What He Doesn't Know. I gave that book 4.5 stars. When I ended that book, I wasn't sure I wanted to continue because I didn't know if I would like what happens but of course I started What He Always Knew right away anyway.

I wanted to like this book. I started out liking it but then it started to get monotonous and ridiculous. Charlie was acting like a spoiled, selfish, brat. She was stringing along two men, one of which was her husband, Cameron. The other, her childhood crush and now boyfriend, Reese. She was allowed to be with both and bounce back and forth and be intimate, yet she lost her shit at the idea of Reese having a complicated relationship with another woman, even though he wasn't continuing to be intimate with that woman.

The back and forth was fine for a while and I liked how well the author wrote the story to show that Charlie truly loved both men, until I didn't. Somewhere in the middle of the book, I just got fed up with the whole thing and was like, enough is enough, go be alone and figure your crap out. I had a problem with the fact that at no time did she seek out any type of advice or counsel from her family or have friends to speak to or anything until the end of the 2 months that she had to make her choice, when she FINALLY talked to her brother.

My other problem... I am all about condom free sex in books, to be honest I prefer it, but when you are having sex with TWO men in the same time-frame, and you don't even know what you want with your life or who you want to be with, how can you be so stupid and irresponsible to not use any form of birth control. That is reckless. If she was single, just dating around or sleeping around, and she happens to get pregnant, okay fine, I can excuse the unknown daddy issue. But what if it is to happen when one is your husband whom you have already lost two children with, and the other is your boyfriend and both men love and want you, no...just no. That is a huge risk and you need to be more responsible than that.

Somewhere during the story, I started thinking that they should all just move in together and she could be in a polyamorous relationship. It sure would have made things easier.

Ultimately, I was happy with the man she chose to be with. I thought that was a good decision and I enjoyed the ending of the book.

Overall, I am giving this book 2.5-3 stars. Maybe it would have been better if I didn't know the ending ahead of time...I don't know. Either way, I was pretty much over the situation and the drama and her selfish behavior midway through.

Audible: There were three narrators. One for each POV. The male narrators were totally fine. They had nice voices and were easy to listen to. The female narrator was...unique. I had to restart the book multiple times because I had a hard time getting used to her voice and I was a bit dumbfounded. She was very breathy and almost moan-y sounding. She legit sounded like an adult actress. Once I got used to her voice, I was able to listen to her just fine, save my smirks each time her POV chapters started again. Especially since it was the most prominent when she was saying "Charlie" at the beginning of each of her chapters. All that aside, I enjoyed the audio well enough.

I'm blown away..

A complete feel good HEA ending would have been impossible considering the situation, but I'm comfortable with the final decision. This emotional roller coaster ride was certainly worth my time and the credit. All the narrator's gave excellent performances. They brought to life the pain the characters felt trying to put the shattered pieces of their broken hearts back together. I highly recommend this love triangle.

Both Books Were Amazing

They tear you from one emotion to the other, but they are well written and if I was one to re-listen to audiobooks, these would be on that list.

My one and only complaint is the female reader. She did better over time, however, something about the way she breathes out and almost huffs after every single sentence is annoying and she really should work some more on stopping. She did get better over the length of the book and I was slowly able to ignore it, but it is really a major annoyance in listening to her parts.

As for the duet narrations, I LOVE duets, and they are my absolute favorite and always will be. They help me fell the words and emotions and there is nothing better. I wish more audiobooks were done this way.

Emotionally EPIC

First let me start by saying this duet is so worth the time and the credit and my review may contain spoilers. Make sure you are ready to cry, to fall in love, to fall out of love, to get frustrated and to shout out at the characters. This was an emotional roller coaster for me. I do not believe in cheating on your partner or husband/wife but this book tested my morals to the core. In the first book, I was so mad at her husband and so in-love with the idea of Charlie and Reese. I was in fact rooting for them based on Cameron's treatment of her. I wanted her to end her relationship with Cameron and run to Reese. I wanted Charlie to grow a back-bone and realize she needs more. I wanted Reese to make her whole again. Then comes Cameron's POV at the end of book one and starts to tear at my want of Charlie and Reese. The second book took me over the cliff. The back and forth and the triangle got on my nerves and i found myself saying enough already, make a decision. I started getting mad at Reese and was really angry at Charlie for stringing both men along. Come on already Charlie, make a decision and own it. Emotionally i was all over the place. This is not your typical love triangle. These books will take you from one end of the triangle to another but so worth the emotional tugs. The ending was somewhat surprising for me. I really did not think it would end up that way. It was a hard ending for me because I am still torn. I do not know how to feel and I am invested in these characters. To the Author I say, Kudos. To the readers, I say have fun on this emotionally charged coaster.

To much drama!!!

Between the first book in this series and this book, the back and forth was too much. After a while it became annoying. I was able to predict the outcome but I've listened to hundreds of books so its difficult to fool me. If you read this book get ready for a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Anger annoyance heartbreak frustration.

Torn between two lovers...

Who will she choose? I guessed right, but for reasons I didn’t see right away... how do you tell the other he wasn’t chosen? ... bring your tissues... Erin and Sebyo, are fabulous as always , but Jason took me by surprise! My first of his narration... I loved his voice for this... throw in some bad family, and a lost family, and the heartache will grab you... I put in overtime to get to the answer... make sure you can do the same. I believe this is my first series of Kandi’s... I will watch for her books again... worth the read!

OMG loved it

This one starts where book 1 ended and you get to see all the twists and turns of the love triangle between Charlie, Cameron and Reece a great conclusion to the story. You just can't guess how it will end. You get more of Sebastian York in this one which is a good thing he is great as Cameron and Erin and Jason are fabulous as Reece and Charlie. I loved this story and listened to them both in a couple of days as I could not press stop I just wanted more and more. This is a story of cheating but not in a yuk way it's written so well. I loved it so much.

A 5 STAR BLUSHING AUDIO REVIEW

This book literally gave me Goosebumps whilst reading, there are so many layers to peel back throughout the story each one twisting and embedding itself into me like I was part them.

I had no idea where the story was heading most the time, catching me by surprise whenever the plot changed direction without warning. I have not read many books that are from three POV’s and it left me torn between them, just when I thought I was batting for one team the rules changed and I would jump teams. My heart broke over and over again and then slowly Kandi put it back together again, she still left it feeling heavy and not quiet whole even up to the end.

My red puffy eyes have not yet recovered from this emotionally charged story. To say I loved it would not do it justice, I breathed in every word and felt every emotion throughout. This is not a feel good fluffy romance story, it is raw, it’s painful, it’s confronting but it’s also powerful and passionate and reflective.

There is a strong message in this duet and without disclosing any details it can be relevant and very relatable for anyone who has lost their way in a relationship or maybe unhappy in their marriage but still deeply love their partner, somewhere along the way it is easy to lose touch of what matters.
Kandi’s writing is addictive, it’s deep and perfectly executed. The story pulled me in from the very beginning and I become so invested in her world of passion, heart ache and self-discovery nothing else existed in my world whilst I was reading. I would switch from reading to the audio book if I had to hang washing or cook dinner because I simply couldn’t put it down.

I know the sensitive subject matter will deter a lot of people from reading this but I urge you to step past that comfort level and give this a go it certainly gives you another perspective after all they say there is always two sides to every story but this one has three.
Adding narration to this already emotionally charged book heightened that tenfold. The narrators did a perfect job of portraying their character’s personality traits and evoking emotions for the listener.
Sebastian York & Erin Mallon are favourite narrators of mine whereas Jason Clarke's a newbie for me but I loved him just as much. Each narrator was impeccably matched to their characters and they all did an outstanding performance.
