“These pages will feel like a lifeline for the anxious, overwhelmed, and burned out.”—Jennie Allen, New York Times bestselling author of Get Out of Your Head
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by panic, fear, worry, or anxiety, you’re not alone. A part of the human experience often involves anxious feelings that paralyze us, keep us up at night, rob us of our ability to live in the moment, and pretty much suck the life out of us. But this doesn’t have to be the case. You can stop freaking out.
Sound too good to be true? It is true. In fact, it’s a promise from God himself.
At least 366 times, the Bible commands us to not fear. God loves us and doesn’t want us to be ruled by anxiety. Not surprisingly, most people don’t understand what the Bible actually teaches about anxiety, fear, and worry.
Consider this book a practical resource to help you connect the dots between your anxiety and what God has to say about defeating it. As you are about to discover, you really can stop freaking out.

Great Book

So. I checked out the book thinking it would address a variety of topics related to anxiety and the like (as the title would imply), since my daughter (14) struggles with it a bit, I certainly have my moments raising two teenagers by myself (who wouldn't), and heck--maybe there were some other areas in here I should consider.
However, I felt like the content constantly came back around to David's strong suit, which is: relationships. Occasionally he touches on other topics like finances and throws in a brief mention about the effects of modern technology at the beginning, but... it really continues to circle back to the idea of anxiety in the context of relationships. Now, I think that's great and helpful--absolutely useful for people needing solid, godly advice about approaching and dealing with anxiety related to interpersonal and intimate relationships. In fact, it felt like an extended sermon on the very topic (I literally breezed through this within a 24-hr period.)
But... I'd recommend a title rename if that's going to be the primary focus. Because I wouldn't necessarily recommend this book to just anyone dealing with anxiety. I think it'd be minimally helpful in that regard and they'd find all the relationship advice somewhat distracting if that's not what they're struggling with. Rather, I'd reserve my recommendation for those specifically dealing with anxiety related to being single.
So, if you're looking for a spiritually sound book focused on the anxieties associated with being single in today's world, this is the book for you! David Marvin is most definitely an entertaining speaker/narrator, and will most assuredly hold your attention throughout the entirety of this read. However, if this isn't really where you're at in life and you're looking for something to address other sources of anxiety... well, it's only a 6hr listen on Audible so it's up to you how you want to use those 6hrs. There are still some good nuggets in there to take away and you definitely won't be bored!🤔😬🤓
