Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Sure, death by semi truck wasn’t fun, and being isekai’d into the sky was a rough entrance. But hey, I was alive. Reborn in a quaint little town in a magical world. I ended up rooming with a floppy-eared puppy girl and a bubbly hobgoblin who run a bookshop together. Found myself a job, too. Town sheriff! And I’m just in time, because orc gangsters are imposing a reign of fear over the residents, slowly crushing my roommates’ dreams for their bookshop.

cute but short
I did like this story but I feel like it was way too short. ebooks are expensive, and I don't like finishing a book feeling like I didn't get my monies worth, yah know? I probably would buy the second book only if the author makes it longer.
Apart from that, the character developement was good, the story itself was ok, the performance was excellent.

If you're tired of battles and just once a good re
You're tired of constant fighting and want a good story this has good potential it does have fighting but the concentrating more on the building of this place which is good And we learn just how smart some of the people and monsters are better in the area for you it has a lot of interesting crafting and good potential as a beginner book if you read any of the other stuff this author has done you will see it is as usual a good strong story with a good strong start
