Nice wrap up

I'll admit that the amount of characters was a bit difficult for me to keep track of, but I enjoyed the twists and turns.

Writing was excellent.

The first half was exciting and intricate. The word play was funny and chilling. The second half seemed like so much of a repeat. So many story lines were re-visited I wondered if I had lost my place and gone backwards.

Captivating!!

This was a GREAT book! Karin Slaughter has become one of my favorite authors. She has an incredible writing style. The characters and storyline are both complex and captivating with twist and turns that keep you engaged from beginning to end. I love the movement through time in this book and how she develops the case by circling back to the beginning. The introduction to the new character in the second half brought to light history and personal details to help build the background of Emmy and the Clifton family. Kathleen Early is a wonderful narrator and brings the characters to life! I can’t wait for more to come in the new North Falls series.

The story is captivating! Always waiting for more books!

I love Karin Slaughter books and am never disappointed. There are a lot of characters in this one though, so you really need to pay attention. I am going to re-listen to this one, but I still loved it! Just a little too distracted the first time through and couldn’t wait to listen to its

Very entertaining and fast paced with twists and turns

Character descriptions, very vivid. The author showed empathy for her characters and each character was distinct and unique. I also appreciated that there was no graphic sex or violence.

It’s a Karen Slaughter book just ride the roller coaster and enjoy. When you reach the end you’ll want to start all over again.

Great twists I didn’t see coming

I love when a book can surprise me. I was surprised again and again with things I did not see coming. That doesn’t happen often for avid readers.
