Publisher's Summary

Zara Riddle has finally found work-life-magic balance when someone from her past arrives to destroy everything.

Rhys Quarry wasn't much of a father to Zara. He swears everything's different now, but some people never change. Soon he's teaching his con man ways to his granddaughter. If only he could teach her something useful.

When a member of the magical community goes missing, Zara joins the search. When she and Zinnia find a trio of ghosts, the search becomes a murder investigation. The local police say they'll solve the case, but how can they? Their top detective is distracted, wandering around town feeding the wildlife and talking about conspiracies.

Cracking this case will mean busting out some new spells - the dangerous kind that a witch can't cast on her own. The three Riddles team up as they move into uncharted territory. Unfortunately for them, danger isn't far behind.

Zara and her family face their biggest foe yet. To survive, they'll have to access magic they've never used before. When the confrontation turns deadly, no one will be walking away untouched.

Change is in the air, and it's not going to be pretty.

Watchful Wisteria is book four in the hit cozy mysteries series Wisteria Witches Mysteries by Angela Pepper.

Another winner!

I love this series and the companion series that explores Zinnia's life in more detail.

This story develops Zara's character and gives us insight as to what formed her outlook on life.
We meet her father and get more surprises.

Angela always leaves us with a cliffhanger to lead into the next book! I can't stop listening!

Tiffany does a great job with the narration.

I was given this review copy and this is my honest review.

Zara is a good witch and is a good mother

Another dose of snarky whit comes your way in this installment from Wisteria. When Zara encounters a wounded fox walking through Spirit Park, she has to decide if someone is trying to get her to reveal herself as a witch or it's just a wounded fox. What she learns turns her house and life upside down. Not only that, but Zoey finally finds her magical power but it isn't what they expected. Zoey and Zinnia have to save Zara from a killer plant. Will things ever go back to"normal" for the Riddles?

I can't get enough of this series!

My love for this series only grows bigger with each book. I love Zara and Zoey's relationship, I love the quirky dialogues and the whole bunch of queer characters who populate Wisteria.

And Bentley is looking more and more as a promising candidate for Zara's heart.

It was really good to find more about Zara's childhood and about her father. Although, argh! that is a very selfish man! I'm really sorry for Zoey, as she really wanted a grandad :( But then... Zoey is... okay, you'll need to read/listen to the book to learn that :P

And the mystery was fascinating! Also, ghost!dogs!

And the ending! Ouch! I can't wait to know what's going on...

A recommendation, though: if you're listening to this, as I did, avoid doing it on the streets. Bursting out laughing while walking around is not something that makes you look like a sane and trustworthy citizen :P

Tiffany Williams' narration was, as always, delightful.

Entertaining

Watchful Wisteria is an entertaining story featuring the supernatural town of Wisteria and a zany & comical librarian witch. Every time I had to pause the audiobook, I kept thinking about the story and wanted to get back to the book! The characters are likable and relatable and the storyline is enjoyable & a diverting way to pass time. The narrator did a fantastic job! Lots of surprises in this book!

Watchful Wisteria by Angela Pepper and narrated by Tiffany Williams is an Audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. This is another awesome paranormal adventure in the supernatural town of Wisteria. This time there are life and death struggles, family members popping in unexpected, a murder to solve, getting possessed by a ghost, and other zany things in the life of a witch! I love these fun characters, it's fun to see how they grow and change. Always a fun and interesting plot, unpredictable situations, and intriguing stories! Creatures, magic, and shifters are only part of the fun in this crazy town! Love it!
The narrator is too notch! She is truly amazing! Makes the book flow so well! Can't wait for the next one!

Even more adventures for Zara in Book 4...........

Watchful Wisteria is the fourth book in this series, and, although the author does a great job of making this book stand on its own, I highly recommend the first three books in the series to get the full flavor of the small town of Wisteria. In book four, Zara Riddle is challenged with solving another murder, aided in her attempts by the ghost of the deceased, with some interference from the sheriff of Wisteria as well as members of the paranormal policing agency. While investigating, Zara receives an unwanted house guest in the form of her long absent father, Rhys. In addition to being a fox shifter, Rhys is a smooth talking shyster who quickly tries to ingratiate himself with Zara through her daughter Zoey, leading to much tension in the Riddle household. While the mystery and paranormal world building are every bit as intriguing as the first three books in the series, Watchful Wisteria shows a more solemn and adult version of Zara than her usual upbeat, quirky self. She struggles with the aftereffects of being betrayed by two people she considered friends, her unresolved abandonment issues from her childhood, and suddenly becoming a powerful witch after 32 years without magic in her life. Don't get me wrong, this book is as entertaining as all of Angela Pepper's stories. It just brought out another aspect of Zara's character that made me love and respect her even more. Although the story is entirely resolved by the end, Pepper drops a major bomb in the final paragraph that has me counting the days until book five is released.

Tiffany Wiliams does a fabulous job with her narration. She narrates the first three books in the series, and she is truly the voice of Zara, in my opinion. Her delivery is flawless, and she adds the right nuance and emotion level for every scene in the book. I sincerely hope that she narrates the future books in this series because this team of Pepper and Williams is a winning combination.

Watchful Wisteria

I must say I just can't get enough of these witches! Zara is finally finding balance in her new life when he father decides to make a surprise appearance. Which throws her off balance. Zoey of course is so excited to spend time with him. So many past secrets start to be revealed and the 3 Riddle's find them selves in more trouble than normal no thanks to her no good dad. And I must say Zara's house is a total traitor. I think I may would have threatened to put the house on the market. I liked the small but subtle hints to the end. I was not sure the story would end that way, but I did suspect. Now I cant wait for the next book in the series. As always in this series Tiffany Williams does a fantastic job with the narration and the different characters.

Funny, Foxy Family Fracas

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
The utterly delightful Wisteria Witch Mysteries continues with our favorite small town redheaded magical librarian. The story picks up right where the last one left off with the introduction of an important character. This novel focuses on Zara’s family’s past including her parents. It shed a new light on her relationship with her aunt ad daughter. Zoey has a big moment and I look forward to see how it impacts her character and role in the series going forward.
The characters remain loveable and witty. We learn more about another townperson. It seems nearly every character in the town has a mysterious past or secret that can only be unraveled through a supernatural adventure – and I could not love it more. My only minor quibble in this one was a lack of Chet but we still got some great scenes with Corvin and a certain steely detective.
I am really enjoying my time in Wisteria. If you checked out the first three then keep plunging ahead. It’s only getting better. Angela Pepper is consistently writing light, fun, engaging characters and mysteries with bizarrely grandiose climaxes that hit all the right buttons. Looking forward to more.
The narrator handled more voices and accents this time around and did so with great skill. She has a knack for it. I could listen to her tell stories about playing mini golf or library research forever.
Regarding the final scene: book 5 can’t get here soon enough.

great series

This was another great listen in an enjoyable series. There's mayhem, laughter and a few sparks as usual. But then the cliffhanger was like wow! I did not see that coming.
