Wonderful story with depth and darkness

This book does a wonderful job of telling a rich and layered story, establishing a world, and introducing a diverse group of characters. Sometimes when a book tries to take on that much, it gets too caught up in the minutiae to really do a good job of it - this book is definitely the exception. You get a full grasp on everything, while a very intense story unfolds. Looking forward to more in this series, and definitely more from this author!

I was absolutely spellbound from the very start! This book has so many things that draw you in. Mystery and thrills, suspense and romance. The characters are so well written, you are immediately drawn in to their world.

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook! I really hated to pause it to do anything. I look forward to continuing on the journey!

I love anything about the supernatural and this book did not disappoint. I like the way is was written and how character (Sophie) can into her own.

Great book yo travel with

Loved the beautiful narration. The voices, characters all came to life. Want to continue the series.

great story, okay audio

Narrator
it's starts off like she keeps moving the mic closer and farther away from herself. There is a chapter or two where you can hear he breathing between every word. Other than that it wasn't so bad.

Story
The book is very well written. I absolutely love the story line and the characters. I look forward to reading or listening to the rest of the series.

Title had me captured

I really enjoyed this audiobook. So much details on New Orleans Camille did an excellent job. If you are intrigued with all that is magic then this is the audiobook for you.

Intriguing

loved that the characters were well defined looking forward to book two I had to sit still and listen didn't want to miss nothing and narrator was on point clearly understood

Enjoyable

I liked the characters and the overall story was interesting. The only think I disliked was the guy I was rooting for didn’t get the girl. I hope he might get his own story soon. I was given a free copy for an honest review.
