Love the book, narration could be better

I love this series, I’ve read it multiple times and will continue to enjoy it again and again. I decided to buy the audio as a companion to my kindle and printed versions. The narration is interesting...some of the accents and voices are a bit cartoonish. While that aspect made me roll my eyes at times, it shouldn’t keep anyone from enjoying this and the subsequent books.
The Vampire Academy series is YA, but I would liken it to The Hunger Games in that while the characters are younger, they deal with serious and thought provoking issues.

Great Book!

This Book is a GREAT Book!! The person reading has a good voice but here pronunciations are kinda sucky… like Badica; it is ‘Bad-Ica’ not ‘Ba-dica’… also I the first parts of the book she keeps saying ‘Zelkos’ instead of ‘Zeklos’… there is no L before for the K in that name.. but she figured it out eventually. Also I didn’t like her Dimitri Accent but 🤷‍♀️.. those are just personal preferences. The Book itself is GREAT and she was actually a good reader in general.

One of the first books that I read when I was a young adult. Still one of my favorites.

Great start to a fantastic series

This is a great first look at the complex world building and character arcs of the Vampire Acadeny series. I think this is an excellent YA series. I do hope one day they re-record the first 3 books with Emily Shaffer who voiced the 4th-6th books and really captures the characters and pronunciations.

I Enjoyed This Story

It kind of surprised me how much. I usually like Fantasy and Young Adult, and there was even something about the movie (I know. In some ways it was pathetic.) that I enjoyed. It was just the underlying story, so the book was much better. The narration wasn’t always realistic, but overall, I was engaged and cared about the characters. I’ll continue the series.
