Good sequel

I remember the first book being a little bonkers but very original. This book carries on in that vein. It is fun, random, original and yet compelling. Victor is an intriguing character and I really enjoy his perspective. Vainqueur is the crazy one but he is pretty funny and completely OP. The story was interesting. The narration was really well done.

what if a dragon got levels? ok but now he takes golden showers (he showers in golden coins. take your mind out of the gutter). plus it is narrated by Jack Voraces

TLDR; Get this series and wear a delightful grin on your face for many weeks. Full Review: Containing scenes and dialogue that crash against my brain like torrents of joy and song, this second installment of the Vainqueur series hits hard and fast with a whirlwind of adventures and encounters. Those of a certain age may feel like the creative genius of Douglas Adams has been reincarnated and injected into the veins of Maxime Durand. But instead of spaceships and aliens we are enthralled in tales of gold-seeking dragons and their minions worming their way into and out of treacherous situations both physical and political. Each character is meticulously and expertly voiced by Jack Voraces with the perfect cadence and emotional undertone. Honestly, I can't get enough of this story and the magnitude of character development and smart, subtle humor that is presented with each chapter.
