very concise, easy to go back and reference owing to the alphabetical organization. the publisher has done a wonderful job of putting into context references that might be unfamiliar to a modern audience but the timeless nature of Townsend's words of wisdom requires relatively little of this for a book first published six decades ago

Stimulating take on corporate culture

I am currently in the transition from contributor to manager. I heard about this book from a manager who said "it changed their life". I didn't find it as revolutionary as that, but I do think it is still very valuable. Hopefully I can life up to Townsend's vision of leadership.
