very nice

I would recommend this read to anyone interested in how the world works and where we fit in

Brian gives us a real feeling for life an the universe.

The book gives me a feeling that living in the universe at this time is a wonderful thing and with this book Brian makes us conscious of this in an easy to understand way.

Disjointed

While I generally enjoyed this book, I found the content disjointed from chapter to chapter and even within some chapters. Only chapter 9 supports the title and even then it had a few missed opportunities for editing.

I generally like Greene's work but this wasn't what I expected. Thankfully he's also the narrator and he has such a good tone and enunciation, I found I could listen at speeds 1.2 & at times 1.3 and still keep up. I was glad to do it.

Very Deep Thinking

Mr. Greene's approach to looking at Man-Kind's behind, now, and forward unusual but interesting insight.

Not what I expected - better actually

I expected a book more on the topic of heady physics information. I got a book that was more focused on the idea of time and I was very happy for it. The reader is taken through the time evolution of the Universe in an easy to comprehend manner.

My background is an Earth science teacher - this book will answer many of the questions you never knew you had.

From Stardust to Consciousness-Finding Meaning

As a physicist Greene brings both scientific knowledge and the purist curiosity to the quest for finding meaning in our lives. Rather than the pat answers provided by religion he asks open ended questions that delve into the very heart of what is consciousness and connection between us and our world. Normally I hate when authors read their own works but Greene is perfect.

Beautifully written, an artful delivery of truth

Thank you for the gift of sharing your unique understanding of our incredible universe and our moment of time. My appreciation of my being is enhanced and my fears for the future decreased.

Incredible book

I’ve always liked Brian Greene’s ability to translate extremely complex and difficult scientific ideas into terms that non-mathematicians can understand. This book, however, goes beyond my best expectations and delves into the philosophical implications of current astrophysics and its outlook on the end of the universe. As someone who has a doctorate in philosophy, I deeply appreciated Greene‘s ability to interweave discussions of existentialism, the arts, and evolutionary psychology into the overall picture of the universe’s expansion and eventual demise (Greene expertly explains the varying possible accounts of how this might take place). A wonderful and thought-provoking book, it affirmed my “gratitude for the gift of experience.”

This cat sounds exactly like you told AI to take the best parts of George Clooney’s and Brad Pitt’s voices and combine them together. 10/10

A terrific View of The Big Picture

I am not as eloquent as some of the other reviewers. But appreciate this book for making me think deeply about burning existential questions such as humanity’s place in the universe, how life began and what is consciousness. He does not claim to have all of the answers but he certainly explains state of the art theories in a thoughtful and well researched way. I am a science believer not a science denier. The things he discusses have a scientific basis as confirmed by observation and mathematics. Very heady stuff.
