A senior Gabriel Allon

Liked the less bloody story suitable to a more wise Gabriel Allon. Less twisted than other stories. However did not appriciate the increasing product placements. Also while Daniel Silva does elaborate about Cleptocracy in his afterword, Gabriel and Family become more brand and wealth driven. Shopping at Armani, Gucci & Co and replacing their humble lodgings with pricy appartments and estates. What does not fit to the obvious aim of the story.

The pace of this book is perfect and the story feels real.

Loved the narrator he always does such a great job bringing Daniel Silva’s books to life. The books have so much detail I listen to chapters a few times to make sure I understand everything before moving forward.

Excellent Book

Daniel Silva’s novels are always exciting, informative but never dull. I await his next book eagerly!

Three thrillers woven into one

The murder of an art historian, the intrigue to gain prime ministerial power, the serial murders with a hatchet, those are the thrilling mysteries that Daniel Silva weaves into a compelling listen. As usual with his novels, I listened eagerly until the surprise ending.

Amazing narration of all the characters by the speaker!

There are so many great elements in this book. A murder, stealing of artwork, British government, politics, and the great Gabriel Allon’s investigation and humor!

Language Annoyance

The story was not new or refreshing and the hours and hours of narrative with the accent became difficult to keep listening to.
