Fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird's adventures at the school are about to take a mysterious turn. Those who appear to be her friends are turning out to be enemies. And, oddly enough, sworn enemies are also turning into friends. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. So...you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.

"My love, speak to me. Tell me everything.” Neferet went to Kalona, kneeling before him, stroking the soft, dark wings that unfurled loosely around the immortal. “What would you have me say?” He didn’t meet her eyes. “Zoey lives.” Neferet’s voice was flat, cold, lifeless. “She does.” “Then you owe me the subservience of your immortal soul.” She started to walk away from him. “Where are you going? What will happen next?”

Publisher's Summary
Life sucks when your friends are pissed at you. Just ask Zoey Redbird - she's become an expert on suckiness. In one week she has gone from having three boyfriends to having none, and from having a close group of friends who trusted and supported her, to being an outcast.
Speaking of friends, the only two Zoey has left are undead and unMarked. And Neferet has declared war on humans, which Zoey knows in her heart is wrong. But will anyone listen to her?
Zoey's adventures at vampyre finishing school take a wild and dangerous turn as loyalties are tested, shocking true intentions come to light, and an ancient evil is awakened in PC and Kristin Cast's spellbinding fourth House of Night novel, Untamed.

Narrator too young sounding
As an adult I have enjoyed reading the House of Night series. I regularly listen to audio books. So, when I saw the forth book available on audible I decided to get it. I was very disappointed. This book is about a 17 year almost adult vampire. This narrator makes all the characters, including adults sound like they are about ten years old.
As noted on Amazon, this series is not for children. It is for an older teenager (16+) and the content is mature, which is another reason why the narrator just does not work. I'm going to read the book, and stop listening.

Why Switch Narrators??
I love the series.
HATE that they switched narrators.
WHY after 3 books would they do that? I didn't dislike or like the original one, but this one is all wrong! It's hard to tell the characters apart. Maybe it will grow on me, but I'm having a really hard time getting through this book because of the narrator.

Great book but Narrator????
So far my favorite of the series. But the narrator is not that great. I LOVE the first narrator. She had different voices and you knew who was talking before she said it. This one sounds like she is 12! Bring back Edwina!

Wrong Narrator
I have enjoyed the first three books and was exited to listen to the fourth. However 30 min into it and I don't think I can listen anymore. The narrator sounds to be about 10 to 12 years old which I find slightly disturbing considering the adult content of this series. The voice does not fit the main character of Zoey and the voices she uses for the other characters are just plain sad. Wish the Narrator could have stayed the same through the whole series.

Bad Narrator Change!
It was another great story fro P.C. and Kristin Cast. The story rates 5 stars, but the awful narration should almost bring it down to a 3 star book. The girl sound like a child, telling a pretty grown up story. It just sounds wrong. I actually turned it off half way through and went out and bought the actual book. I should have listened to the feedback. It's to bad it overshadowed an otherwise great YA story. I sure hope they go back to the old narrator, or this will be my last audiobook from this series.

Please- just please! Narrator ruined an otherwise great story
I have never felt compelled to write a review of an audiobook before, but after suffering through hours of this, I felt I had to chime in. First, the story is great. I have read the whole series and, while recovering from an injury, thought it would be great to experience again as an audiobook. The first three books in the series were great. The narrator really brought life to the characters I remember. However, the new narrator on this audiobook absolutely ruined it. It was as if someone handed a 10 year old a script and said, "here- read this out loud, try to make the characters sound a little different, and be overly dramatic." It was truly painful. I was about to give up until I realized that I will only have to suffer through the next book with her and then a new narrator takes over. I don't know what anyone who had anything to do with selecting this narrator was thinking. It reminded me of one of those really awful local business commercials where the owner is the "actor" and you cringe every time you see it - imagine 11 hours of that. It's unfortunate that such a great story may lose listeners in the middle because of such an awful reading.

very unhappy
I was unhappy with the 4th book reading, I feel you let us down, by changing the reader in the middle of the series, she was way to young and her voice sounded like she was 10 yrs old . She does not make me want to listen to it. I am once more letting you know how very ( and I can not state enough) unhappy I am with it.

Changing the reader in a series?
If I would have to compare the first three book's audio quality and the reader's competence with this one (bear in mind that I haven't finished this book yet) assuming that the first three is level 5 in both of regard this would get a two. Hence the rating. It might be just the record quality (really bad, noisy and it has no depth) but the reader's voice comes out as really shallow squeaking pubescent. It really only has one voice and in trying to sound differently she fails miserably. Compared to the previous reader's competence this is very mediocre. Which is a shame as the series is interesting and full of novel ideas.

This book was the one that made me love reading
When I was in 10th grade I read these books and stopped at book 6, but this book around chapter 4 reading it in my hands. It was the first time that I was away from reality and in the story. When the chapter ended I looked around and realized that it was that captivating. The performance is 3 stars because I listen to another narrator before audible and I felt like she did a much better job. *This narration was a bit too teen angsty for me, but orelse beautiful loved it *sry for bad English

I luckily have read the first three books when I was younger but as this is the first available audio book in this series a person who doesn't read would have difficulty understanding 50% of the story.

Untamed
I admit, I was beginning to have my doubts about this series after reading books two and three, but this book more than made up for them. Darker and more intense than any of its predasessors, Untamed begins to move away from the typical dramas of a bunch of highschool teens, and what emerges is a group of extraordinary young people fighting for what they believe in against deadly enemies.
