Publisher's summary

29-year-old Paul Donnelly has been many things in his life. Son of addicts, high school dropout, tattooist, the shameless bodyguard to Beckett Cobalt, the “bodyguard camp counselor” to the rookies of SFO, Loren Hale’s nemesis, and Xander’s wise one.

But nothing means as much without Luna Hale. The sci-fi-loving writer. A weirdo. Sister to his client. The only one he’s fallen for.

To be with Luna, he has to ensure it’s totally, completely, unmistakably safe. That starts with taking care of his family—the family he walked away from as a teenager.

He knows he’ll survive. He can survive anything. But this time, he just wants to survive with her.

Take an epic cosmic journey with Luna & Donnelly through heartache, hope, darkness, love, and an unceasing light—where the bonds we make are what power us through time.

Love love love this

I absolutely love the whole series, but the Hales have my heart. That being said, why the cliffhanger?!

Love this series SOOO MUCH

I love Donnelly and Luna’s story. I hate to have to wait to listen. The ARC in this story changes everything, and also nothing. I hated it and loved it at the same time.

Heartbreaking

Oh this one is hard to review without revealing anything but it's a heartbreaking story but filled with hope and the bonds between people, if you've been with this series from the start and really you should be because these are not stand alone but if you have you'll feel what these characters are feeling and I mean all of them. I do wish we had a little more with Lily especially after and there are sooooo many questions I can't wait for the next installment. Narration is done well and the Female voice is much better this go round though I'm still not feeling Carlson as Donnelly but he does do a good job and again thank you for not trying to do a philly accent!

OMG

I started off seeing a lot of parallels between Lily and Lo’s journey and Luna and Donnelly’s; the right person, wrong time narrative that I really love the way Krista and Becca explore. Then we were hit with the plot twist and I thought the same thing I did in Sulli’s plot twist - omg we are really getting this trope.

I love the worlds the twins build and would happily read hundreds of thousands of words of nothing but these characters eating dinner and building ikea furniture together, but they still find a way to breathe fresh life into their plots without it feeling overly trope-y or like they’re just checking off a list of “things we haven’t included yet.” Twenty four* books into this world and I’m still on the edge of my seat, devouring these stories and can’t wait for what comes next.

Oh and we’re hit with a major cliffhanger at the end. Although at this point I have such faith in the authors that I think I have an idea what’s coming and it’s going to be more fun than heartbreaking.

Narration: A narrator switch mid series can be tough, but I really loved Leesa Lamb and thought she fit Luna even better than Michelle Sparks did.

Holy shiz show Batman.

I don’t know where to start. First and foremost; I am screaming for Donnelley- like for all the things 😭

Luna; holy breadsticks! She went through so much. And to have to start ALL OVER!!!! Uhh!!

And that cliff hanger- not cool man!!

But 10 out of freaking 10! This is a must!!

Much Awaited But Plot Twists Abound

I will not give spoilers in my review, but let me just say the soap opera level plot twists in this one had me raging a bit but while this does not provide the HEA grand ending Donelly and Luna deserve, it does magnify their relationship while still following up with our favorite beloved characters alongside.
..can't wait for the next one.

Don't hate me but it could of been better

okay, so i was so hyped for this book. I read all of the books for both the like us series and addicted series. I feel like the story dragged a little. I loved the interaction between Luna and Donnelly. I also loved how their support system help them when they were struggling. The chemistry was there of course but why the drawn out story of I want you but maybe I'm not good enough. like i get it you both need to work on some things. fix it and move on. get help if you need it. The whole amnesia bit was fucking fantastic. It was really well told and thought out. so overall it dragged at time but I got the meaning in the end.
