Publisher's summary

Monsters don't often look like monsters on the outside.

Forced to marry a man I should hate, I'm now bound to Damian.

I sometimes wonder what he sees when he looks at me. Deer in headlights, I guess.

What I see is clear.

Darkness. Desire. Carnal want.

A man with too much experience.

The day he took me he told me I belong to him. On our wedding night he proved I did. And I believe him when he says he'll keep me safe because he won't let anyone touch what's his.

But I can't forget what he is. Can't forget the things he's done.

And no matter what, I can't let myself fall in love with him.

Dark romance with heat and all the feels!

I really enjoyed this duet! The characters had depth and you could definitely see the struggle the H had with his inner demons.
I really enjoyed Kale Williams performance. However, Lisa Zimmerman whispers loudly at the end of each phrase. This gets really annoying towards the end of the first book.

Unholy Intent

This was so good. Damien's twin brother was nuts! There is lots of suspense as well as romance. Cristiana was so young and naive. Her naivety almost got everyone killed. She could be so annoying. The book has a nice ending where several years pass. Liam was missing in action by the end of the book so I hope there will be a book with his story. Kale Williams and Lisa Zimmerman did a great job with the narration. Lisa Zimmerman's narration was much better in this book.

The heroine was young and naive….

I love the interesting writing by Natasha Knight and A. Zavarelli. They create great storylines and complex characters that really draw you in. A lot of the writing is dark and sexy, but it’s definitely a can’t put down, must read, type of book with decent narration if you like audiobooks.

Now in this particular series I loved the anti-hero Damien, he was surrounded by people out to get him and no he was no Angel himself, but I found myself still rooting for the guy. The heroine was young and so stupid, and I believe she was written that way on purpose. She’s afraid of her own shadow and threw her experiences in this book she becomes stronger so……..

The narration was good, fit the characters. I can’t say I would read this particular title again, the heroine really got on my nerves, but it wasn’t a horrible book. There was a lot of mystery, as in who’s really the bad guy around here, 👀and crazy in this book…..

AN EXCELLENT ANGSTY ROLLERCOASTER

Firstly, thank you for not making us wait weeks or even months for the second instalment in this thrilling Duet.. especially after the cliffhanger ending that closed Book 1 with an ominous chill. And in this book Damian and Cristina’s relationship continues to flounder and flourish as all the truths and the villains finally come out in a sizzling story. In Cristina’s world she lives in a house full of lies and liars with enemies hiding behind masks of friendship.. or enemies standing bold in plain sight so trust is a luxury she really can’t afford. But their relationship is changing, softening, morphing into more perhaps.. or is she just being naïve? Trust is a big issue, truth is too and betrayal will deliver a killing blow.

Their chemistry and attraction is undeniable.. hot sex is a given.. secrets and revelations will shock and sting.. tension and suspense runs through each well-crafted scene.. and deception, betrayal and danger will bring a tsunami that leaves devastation in its wake. So yeah, that’s why I was up till shhh 🤫 🤭 o’clock lying to myself with scattered broken promises of “just one more chapter” over and over again. It’s unique, it’s a drama, angst and feels-filled love story where the monster slowly reveals his vulnerable heart and where the heroine did the impossible and worthily claims it.

Worth a credit? Yes, I love a Natasha Knight story.. she ticks all the boxes when it comes to an angsty rollercoaster romance and she delivers a suspense-filled drama-fest that carries you away on a tidal wave of tension, hope and anticipation. And this woman certainly knows how to create, conjure and write about a dark possessive anti-hero who thoroughly and skilfully ’claims’ his woman. I also loved the new to me narrators who delivered a five star dual POV story and their stellar performances brought the chapters and characters to life.

Another Great Series from N. Knight!!

Natasha Knight has scored another home run with this two-book series.

While revenge and jealousy are the main themes of the series, Unholy Union and Unholy Intent have it all: the Italian mafia, betrayal, really nasty families, murder, beauty, wealth, hot sex, hate, and love. Within the plot, there are many complex moving parts, which are slowly and gradually revealed until a shocking revelation near the end of book two.

The circumstances of the main characters’ relationship are unusual and gripping. There is a great deal of history between their families, with their male guardians making choices that bind the next generation to “deals” they cannot escape. The growing feelings between the two main characters somehow find their way through this horrible history, the deal they had no control of, and the monstrous people all around them.

The narrators are terrific, especially Kale Williams, who very effectively captured the darkness, vacillation, and many moods of the male main character. He actually became Damian in this narration.

It’s no surprise that Ms. Knight has once again released an incredible series in this genre. She does it like no one else! Highly recommended book series!!

good

It was good but drug a bit. I love Natasha's books but this was not my fav. there were moments when I thought she was stupid. I didnt really feel there connection between them like you do in most her books until the end. I still think worth a listen narration was great.

Oh my angst!

What can I say, this second book is so so good. Sad and dark, hopeful and just so good. Not to mention hot and steamy.

By the final 2 hours you will feel like begging for the HEA, like out loud praying that somehow this shitshow will untangle itself enough for our MCs to make it out alive. Which of course is infuriating but also makes the ending oh so gratifying.

Sadly lacking in twists and plot

I listened to both duets and despite the solid performance of Kale Williams, the so-so performance of Lisa Zimmerman I found the story lacked plot, twists and romance. I think this story could almost be considered a novel rather than a romance. It just lacked that extra push of twists and turns. I believe this story did not need to be divided into two books. I am in the minority as I have read the rave reviews of some of my favorite bloggers. This story was not for me.
