WOW!!!

J. A. Jance hits this one out of the park. Lots of old favorite characters make an appearance. Some very unexpected things happen, that left my mouth hanging open. I did find one continuity mistake, but that's because I listen to her books over and over. I'm on my second listen of this book already.

Old Friends

it was great to have another Jance to read. It was like seeing old friends!

Not a what I expected from a Ali Reynolds novel

I’ve read every Ali Reynolds book and they are among some of my favorites. However, this book falls short. There was no case or plot to the book, just a series of events that fell into Ali’s lap as a matter of occurrences. I kept waiting for the hook, but it never came.
This being said, I will not stop reading Ali Reynolds books when they are released. I’m hoping that this book just didn’t appeal to me and the next one will.

Excellent listen!

This was the best J A Jance book I’ve ever listened to. I enjoyed it so much I finished it in 2 days!

disappointed

I have read most of J A Vance in the JP Beaumont series. His character played a very small part at the end was a disappointment. a femal voice did not fit her narrative. Otherwise, the story line was not her best but held my interest.

Average Entry & Thin Plot

I’ve enjoyed all of the books in this series until this one. The characters progressed and dealt with real human issues which was a highlight, but the crimes that this novel explored seemed very generic and phoned in. There was never really any mystery or thrilling moments to be found.

Karen Ziemba continues to bring Jance’s characters to life. I always enjoy listening to her. I just wish she had more to work with in this selection.

Why?

Why go from third person to first person in the last chapters. I had to check, thought I was listening to another book. Irritating

another winner

I wish they would have gotten one of the regular JP Beaumont narrators to do his part....Gene Engene has always been my favorite.

Awesome listen

I throughly enjoyed this book. It made doing housework fun because I was listening. I plan on listening to more JA Jance

Great book except.....

it left some character storylines hanging. what about her friends kids.....what about the awful drunken husband?
