sweet and flawed

This is my first time reading this author. I dont know how I feel. Its a very sweet..feel good but wants to be angsty story. I dont kinda-sotrta-do-dont really mind the first flip of the script. But once I let go and the baby is born....okay fine...lets go. I will say as a mother the aging of the baby bothered me..sometimes it was age appropriate and others not so much. Of course TH was narrating gold and Callie D was really good. The Lifetime plot twist at the end....major eyeroll and side eye for me. Im not angry I used a credit for this but I do think its better suited on audible escape package .

4.5 baby Knox stars!!!

I really enjoyed this story, which was a surprise because some of the reviews are harsh. But I am sooo glad I decided to see for myself. I swooned hard over Ridge. He was such a great character, even though at the beginning I was not a fan. Now Kendall I loved from the very start, she was the hardworking and sassy chick, I would love to have as a BFF. Their story is sweet and yes a little heart wrenching, but definitely worth it. I absolutely adored the narration from Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton as well!!!

Must Read...Loved it! Worth the credit...

I highly recommend this book and Ridge is one of my new book boyfriends. This book has all the feels in it and I just couldn't stop listening. Also, be prepared...its a tear jerker because you truly feel for the main characters while falling for the supporting characters too.

Unexpected twists

I read in a review once that the best narrators are the ones you don’t notice. Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton are two of my favorite. They allow the listener to focus on the story instead of their voice. As for the story, I loved it! I’m pretty good about predicting where the pot is going but this story had a few plot twists that shocked me. I’m sure good in the form of a book but I highly recommend getting the audio version.

Great story!!

Great story full of twists and turns. There’s 1 chapter toward the end that is kind of cheesy but overall it was a great book!

Wow!

The book details were incredibly vague so I had no idea what I was getting into. So many twists and turns but Ridge had me from the very start! Kendall’s love and devotion to baby Knox and Ridge just warmed my heart!
I’m a HUGE fan of Teddy Hamilton’s narration! His voice is so addictive! I’ve listened to many of Callie Dalton’s narrations and she’s superb! The two of them together really make a tremendous team!

plot twist

The playboy finds a good girl and settles down. A good story. The plot twist near the end was good and unexpected.

This book was so weird.

I wish I could say I liked this… it had so much potential. But this was verging on comically bad.

I gave up around 80%.

Basically, the choice to have Melissa’s POV for the prologue would have worked if she was a part of the book (even if just in spirit). Then, the choice to have only Ridge’s POV for the first six chapters would have worked if it wasn’t so stunted and sporadic in emotional range and tone. THEN! It would also have worked if Kendall’s introduction wasn’t so sudden after, arguably incredibly traumatic events of the week before.

I don’t care how emotionally mature you are, if you had stumbled upon your one-night-stand pregnant with your baby and I’m a coma, only to have the baby come early, the mother wake up and died within minutes… yeah you would not be jumping into relationship territory. You’d be exhausted, traumatized, probably overwhelmed with a baby, and not working dammit.

It just… didn’t make any logical or emotional sense. From the immature adolescent bet, to re-introducing Melissa only to kill her off, to the lack of precision/detail for the entire hospital portion of the book, to Kendall’s and Ridge’s insta-love, then the 180 on Stephanie’s personality? Yeah, every portion of this book was all over the place, wanted to be emotional and angst-filled, yet never went deeper then surface level.

I didn’t believe the instant Daddy-reformed image of Ridge, I didn’t like his weird friends, and the romantic arch was shallow at best.

The only saving grace here was Teddy Hamilton, as Callie Dalton was too stilted and robotic, but not even he could save this story.

I 100% understand the criticism here, and want to echo the others that say: don’t spend a credit on this my dudes.

A knockout emotional story

Kendall and Ridge meet shortly after he faces the life changing event of becoming an unexpected single dad. But he accepts that challenge head on.
Kendall is a nurse and she is impressed with Ridge's determination to be the best dad for his son.
Excellent narration throughout bringing the story to life ❤

Just... Boring

Didn't even finish it. Boring, predictable and all the clichés (and not in a good way)

Heartwarming story

This book was quite emotional and I definitely didn’t see it coming. It’s so different to what I was expecting! There’s sadness & loss, plot twists that I definitely didn’t see coming at all & the sweetest happily ever after. I definitely shed a few tears reading this one so be warned it’s a bit of a roller coaster for your emotions.

The story itself I felt was fast paced. The relationship between the 2 main characters blossoms incredibly fast and straight after tragedy strikes. I found it a little too unbelievable as I was reading it but by the end of the book after the plot twist is revealed I found it was meant to be that way for a reason.

The characters were all amazing and really likeable. The friends group was awesome and I loved how the H’s sister was a part of the group. The H was super growly & protective of the h. He was so sweet though both to the h and his baby. It was super swoon worthy. Also I loved how amazing both the families of the main characters were. They were all so supportive & I loved how in love both of their parents were. It was just so sweet!

Although I wouldn’t say this is a steamy book, there are a couple of sweet intimate scenes.

The narration was good. Teddy is always amazing! I did need to get used to the female at first but by the end I really felt she fit the character.

Awesome

This was an awesome romance story. At the start I was a bit unsure about how the characters would meet because they don't see each other until a few chapters have passed. Waiting was definitely beneficial though because most of the facts were laid down before they met and then the rest of the story was mainly just getting to know each character. This has a HEA which is amazing and definitely leaves you feeling soft. The narration was amazing also and definitely helped give more life to the characters. The next books in the series are stories for other people but in the same setting and in that timeline (I am assuming). If you think you will like this book, I would definitely recommend it to you. I know I loved listening to it and I hope you do too. Enjoy!

It was ok

The narration was very good. Enjoy both narrators. The story line was ok, and interesting plot twist.
