Sweet, Swoon and Fun Listen

Under The Radar was a sweet, swoony read with fun, likeable characters and a fast-paced, enjoyable storyline. Chase had been crushing on Officer Cinnamon, Hannah, since he first met her. When she answers his ad for a roommate, he realizes that this is his chance to get to know her better.

Chase was such a sweetheart. He’s been on quite a journey and is now a reformed bad boy with the biggest heart. He’s kind, caring and so incredibly thoughtful and heartfelt. He steps up to help anyone in need and even though he’s unsure at time, that doesn’t stop him from communicating how he feels. I absolutely loved him and his sensitive nature.

Hannah was the perfect match for sweet Chase. She had an open heart and believed in second chances and that people could make mistakes in their past but make a change for the better. Her openness and willingness to make her feelings known was such a delight.

I loved the open and honest communication between these two. They were steadfast in their belief in one another and supported one another wholeheartedly and unconditionally. They quickly developed a friendship that developed into the best kind of love. The chemistry was sizzling and the banter was so fun and quick-witted.

I also loved seeing the rest of the Reynolds Restoration gang and enjoyed how they rallied around one another. The friendship and love between these friends is so heartfelt and beautiful. It’s so much fun to watch.

John Lane and Maxine Mitchell narrated this audiobook and they did a great job of bringing these characters to life. Maxine embodied Hannah's beautiful spirit while John's portrayal of Chase was well-developed and lovable. I also read this story and listening to it added another layer to it.

Full of heat, humor, heart, Under the Radar was a delightful and heartfelt read and Chase and Hannah were absolutely adorable. Here’s hoping that Cherry and Dom get a story next. They seem like they will be electric!!

Absolutely amazing

Me? obsessed with Chase Donner? Yes, yes I am. This book was A*M*A*Z*I*N*G (sing song voice). In Chapter 5 I was sure I was going to love this book. Chase is definitely swoon-worthy, everything he did for Hannah was so romantic, all the little things and all the grant gestures. He is her personal Prince Charming. He is a little troubled with all the past and baggage. But in the end he is a pretty special man. Hannah, Cinnamon, gosh I love when he calls her Cinnamon. She is so sweet and strong heroine. I love her with all her free spirit and love. She is perfect for Chase. Hannah manages to prove to Chase that everyone has the right to a second chance and that everyone must be heard before judge them. I love how they are crushing on each other the whole time, secretly for them, because everyone knows about it. The family of Reynolds Restoration is pretty amazing, you are going to love them all a lot more in this book. A five stars reading for Melanie, that’s for sure. Amazing tropes, romantic and steamy, the perfect combination. Can’t wait for the next story and hopefully a couple of more stories (wink emoji).

This audiobook makes this book so much perfect!!! John and Maxine are the perfect duo. Listening to this audio was amazing, the emotions are so much better. Their love is more real while listening to them. The perfect narration for another great story.

5 Can Roommates Become More Stars!!

There’s nothing I love more than getting to listen to a book that I’ve read and loved. This is the case with Under the Radar. I was so captivated by Chase and Hannah and getting to listen to their story with the fabulous narration by John Lane and Maxine Mitchell made my love for this book increase exponentially higher. The way they brought these characters to life in my ears allowed me to once again sink into their story and discover little nuances I missed while reading the book. The emotions that Mr. Lane and Ms. Mitchell brought to the surface especially during both Chase and Hannah’s most vulnerable moments were magnificent. I highly recommend you listen to this book even if you’ve already read it… it’s just that good!

a fantastic read

Under the Radar is book four in the Reynolds Restoration series and I could not love it more. When I read the first book in this series, I remember hoping there would be more to come, and Melanie Moreland has delivered!

Chase has grown up and changed his life for the better. He found a family in the friends he made, and the only thing he needs now is a roommate. Hannah, who he was already attracted to, is the first person who answers the ad that would be a good fit. They have fantastic chemistry and a sweet connection that only grows as they live together. It was fun watching their relationship develop and seeing how well matched they are.

I was excited, too, to see so many of my favorite characters from previous books. It is nice to see what they are up to now and how much they care for one another.

Melanie's storytelling and writing are fantastic, and I was truly hooked from the very first chapter. I may have just picked up this book, but I already can't wait to read the entire series again. All of the books, including this one, have great narration that makes them fun to listen to.

Loads of chemistry

Found family is one of my favorite romance tropes, and the Reynolds Restorations crew is a perfect example of found family. I've loved each couple in the series as well as the way the characters have grown through each book. I think Chase may very well be the "family member" who has grown the most. He is just the sweetest, and I'm so glad he finally got his turn at love. He and Hannah have crazy good chemistry, and they're both so darned lovable that you can't help but root for them - even when one or the other is being difficult. They're roommates, so we get a bit of forced proximity, which is as fun as it is frustrating with these two.
As I mentioned, this is part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone. That said, I'd still recommend reading from the beginning because once you've met any of these characters, you're gonna want to know more about them. Regardless of trope or even reading order, this whole series is just one more reason I can't get enough of Melanie Moreland and her characters that are like old friends I can visit from time to time.
What can make an already five star read even better? Stellar narration, which we always get from John Lane and Maxine Mitchell. From the mutual, while secret, attraction to the vulnerability of these characters to steamy goodness, it all comes through in the performance by Lane and Mitchell.
Whether you read the book or listen to it (or both), you can't go wrong with Under the Radar.

Oh so sweet

We’ll Melanie continues to expand my family. That’s how good it feels to get involved in these characters. I loved that they expressed their feelings and love pretty early in the book. I loved the continued involvement with the rest of these beloved characters. The twists with the name and unusual wedding was awesome. I did miss the more detailed sex scenes. The sex seemed to be quick and over. But overall of course I loved the book.

Chase and his Officer Cinnamon

I had the pleasure of reading this book and jumped at the chance to listen to the audiobook; and no matter what you decide, they are both fantastic! Ms. Moreland will have you eating out of the palm of her hand with Chase and Hannah, aka Cinnamon. These characters will steal your heart as the pages turn and you are pulled along their journey of love and redemption.
This is the fourth book in the Reynolds Restoration series, and I recommend reading the books in order as the other characters make appearances here. Chase had a difficult upbringing but after a stint in prison, he managed to turn his life around. Hannah is a police officer who had the pleasure of making Chase’s acquaintance which earned her the nickname Cinnamon, in an interesting way. From the moment Hannah finds her new living arrangement to Chase becoming her roommate, the antics begin and what follows is a storyline that gives you all the feels and then some. Narrators John Lane and Maxine Mitchell are perfection as they articulate the captivating words that will envelop you from beginning to end. I recommend this book and the rest of the series.

Story, characters and narration were amazing

This was book I have been waiting for because after meeting Chase in previous books I needed to know more about the man who had intrigued me. This is Chase and Hannah’s heartwarming journey and it’s a journey all romance lovers will want to join.
As expected the narration team of Maxine Mitchell and John Lane did a fantastic job bringing Chase and Hannah to life. They hit every emotion and were spot in with the banter, add in that they were very easy to listen to and you get a great audio book.
Chase has made mistakes but he has paid for them and now he is living his life with a group of friends from Reynolds Restoration who he looks on as his family. Needing a new roommate he posts a few ads around town but the last person he expects to coming knocking, looking for a room is local police officer Hannah the woman he has secretly been crushing on. But what happens when roommates decide they more……..
Under the Radar has all the feels, it’s a quick read but it still packs a mighty punch, it has wonderful characters and their story will touch your heart. A wonderful read or listen that I highly recommend.

Outstanding!

John Lane and Maxine Mitchell can do no wrong. Their narrating skills are on point and each book they perform becomes my new fave. The combination of the authors words and these narrators is spellbinding. John brought Chase to life with his deep tenor and Maxine was Occifer Cinnamon to a T! I loved everything about this book!
