Publisher's Summary

Two lies.

Two men who don’t share.

I never stopped loving Cole. Not when he left me. Not when he disappeared for three years. Not when he crashed back into my life in a violent explosion of testosterone and fury. His sudden reappearance questions everything I thought I knew, including how I came to love another man.

Trace is an intoxicating breeze of seduction over ice. My rock. My second chance at forever. And he’s committed to annihilating the competition.

The battle that ensues wrenches me back and forth between them.

Fighting and falling.

Resisting and submitting.

Together, they entangle me in a web of lies, rivalry, and desire that weaves as deeply as their devotion to me.

I love two men, and if I can only have one, I choose none.

I enjoyed this book more than book 1. The triangle in this book was heart wrenching!!! I wanted everyone to be happy and I knew there was no way it could work out without a lot of heartbreak along the way. I liked all three of them so much more in this book too. I moved right on to book 3.

The narration is better in this book too which I know makes no sense but maybe I just got used to the male voices so I enjoyed them more this time.

Not Pleased!!!

I didn't like this installment of the series. Despite the things that Dannie has gone through, I think she's a selfish persons for doing what she did. The decision was an easy one to make in my opinion, so make it already. She just wants the best of two worlds while dragging them along for the ride. I got so annoyed at one point, I wanted to skip through parts. But then, I might have ended up missing sonething., which was the most annoying part of it all.

I don't care if she was Superwoman and saved the world, what she did should never have been done to anyone, especially being used under the desguise of "making the right choice". That's a terrible thing to do, so she deserves everything that happens to her.

Best Book This Year

Totally blown away by Godwin's writing, the characters and the total mind F**k!

Lisa Zimmerman is a hidden gem who gives a stellar performance. Great pacing, inflection, tone and her delivery of the male dialogue is on point.

It has been months since I've had an audiobook hangover, and I'm happy this book and series earns that title.

Be sure and start with the first in this series. You won’t be able to stop listening to them. Great job!

First audio book. Surprisingly good.

The story was a little too stretched out. It was a good listen overall though.

Great story.

But why an open ending? I am getting tired of this trend where storyline isn't closed and the book just ends. At least close some loose endings so it seems like it is it's own book. otherwise it is a decent story and Pam Godwin is a good author, so you can't go wrong. -fink

This is twilight for adults🙄

Change the names to Bella Swan, Jacob Black, and Edward Cullen, and you have twilight. Every teen melodrama in a book all wrapped up in a bow & Glitter bombed with adult contact. Oh my God😒!

I read the 1st book and was litle upset with the ending, the fact that your left with one h*** of a twist. Which is normally good. But when you get to this book and they drag on about will they /won't they, what the hell happened over here, & why she can't make a decision. Oh my God, I felt like I was watching the twilight series all over again. Now don't get me wrong, when I was younger I enjoyed the twlight series (movies and books). But what the fuck!

Now in real the world, this would not be an easy decision either. But you also wouldn't run head down over a cliff, and hope it all works out.

Listened at 2x normal speed

I agree with the reviewers who commented that part 2 wasn’t very good. Nothing is resolved, this is 8 hours of introspection and internal, mostly uninteresting, dialogue. The tension was artificial and I stopped caring what happened to the 3 people in this love triangle.

I’m not sure if I’ll bother with part 3.

Fantastic!

One woman, two loves, and an impossible choice.
I loved the characters (#Team Trace all the way), the storyline is great and the angst levels are manageable. (I’m such a wuss when it comes to love triangles.) The narrator did an amazing job of bringing this fantastic, emotional, and sexy story to life. I highly recommend!
