Publisher's Summary

Twelve Mile Limit by Randy Wayne White is now available for the first time in audio!

"We'll drop anything we're doing [for] a new Randy White novel and be glad we did." (Denver Post)

Randy Wayne White's ninth Doc Ford novel starts out as a fun excursion for four divers off the Florida coast. Two days later only one is found alive - naked atop a light tower in the Gulf of Mexico. What happened during those 48 hours? Doc Ford thinks he's prepared for the truth. He isn't.

Good again, but...

liked it very much as usual. The narrator however did not do as well with his characters in this one. In specific, Tomlinson was not read as we have come to know him. But instead, he sounded just like any other character.

His best book so far

This is the best in the series so far. This series is informative as well as action packed. I don’t think I have read books by a more interesting writer

As always a well writen book

I have listened to every book in the series that Mr. White has written. I look forward to each new book and have not been disappointed. As someone with a degree in physical oceanography I have to give praise to the author in knowing his science and laying it out in the book so that anyone without a scientific background in oceanography can understand.
The characters from Doc and the rest at Dinkins Bay are well written and the plot very believable for me. I cannot wait for the next book on the series. I also always enjoy listening to George Guidall as the reader.

Great Story But Disappointing Narration

I’ve enjoyed all the Doc Ford novels in the series thus far. Great characters and a nicely written plot. That said, the narrator, George Guidall is really disappointing and distracts from the quality of the story. The narrator slurs his words together and can’t seem to speak clearly, making it hard to understand and requiring the listener to replay sections of the book. Poor enunciation, slurred words and poor character portrayal overall.

Fascinating fiction but with a lot of fact built in

This has been my absolute favorite book written by Mr. White. The story is great and is based off true actual events with a lot of great science, current events (at the time) and political references.

a good story in the series

Randy Wayne white covers an eclectic mix of things from the manatee controversy of limiting access to waterways and fishing rights along the coast to protecting manatees to a reenactment of an actual loss of four divers disappear on the gulf coast...I had a keen interest in his observations about the abilities of octopus he also discussed and brought the light through his story. to the complex relationships in Central America with the United States, the story was okay and interesting plot the performance in the yard of version was alright.
