Worth a Listen

This an anthology of short stories employing the Mauler and Scully characters and their backstories from the TV series. All the stories are by different authors and consequently are differentially satisfying. However, all-in-all the listen is worth a listen.

Big X Files fan. I was pleasantly surprised

I was very lucky to have purchased this book while it was the Deal of the Day.
I'll be getting book 2 soon.

Good stories, let down by inconsistent narration

When I saw two narrators for this book, I thought good, they have a reader each to play Mulder and Scully - but no, I was disapponted to find they just took turns reading all the parts in a story. In some stories they each read the whole thing, in others it was bits of each - with both narrators playing both characters, really distracting and a lot annoying. The consistency of performance let this book down, even though there was some good X file worthy writing.

Fun little book

It's a fun book for any x-file fan. It jumps between various times in the show but usually does a good job with telling you the when. All of the stories are good but a few stories are a little off. Overall it feels like a collection of novelized "Monster of the week" episodes, which is definitely not a bad thing.

I give the narrators 4 stars because they did a pretty good job, except at one point Hillary Huber pronounces Frohike's name "fro-hike" rather than "fro-hickey" and I found it disconcerting and it ruined my suspension of disbelief for a moment. You'd think they would ensure the narrators have all the names of the regular cast down.

Good monster of the week stories

overall i liked this audiobook, and how it exspanded the x-files universe. As it is an athology, the qualities differentiate between the Short stories, an their take on the x-files "feel" themes and genre differs to.
I missed the uncovering of conspiracies and red herrings, but also aknowledge that it is a consequence of the short story.
I think a few of the stories broke quite harshly with x-files mythology or methodology. ecspecially the uncertainty of knowledge and of what you have seen, were missing in quite a few stories, which i think were a little too quick to create a story that backed up our beloved Mulder.

It's like watching the X-Files with your ears.

What did you love best about Trust No One?

I liked that it was a series of short stories. Of course I had some stories I prefered to others. Most stories were about an hour long. It was just like sitting down and watching to X-Files but with your ears instead of eyes.

What did you like best about this story?

My favorite short story, episode, was the alligator one.

What about Bronson Pinchot and Hillary Huber ’s performance did you like?

I preferred Bronson to Hillary. His voice is just more distinguished and easier to listen to.

This book compliments the television show well. The stories range in date from the early 90's to current day.

Loved it!

The stories were classic X files! Narration by the narrators were fabulous and captured the spirit of the characters. I look forward to more X files books like this.

The stories were different and Mulder and Scilly at there best yet. Statues was a great time!!!

Yes, I found the stories to be well told. I like the fact that Skinner had a few of his own stories in here.

Looking forward to getting the other books in this series. I hope that the new X-Files will again some to TV. I miss that show and these books help.
