Publisher's Summary

The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Clive Cussler's dark adventure, Trojan Odyssey, part of the thrilling Dirk Pitt series. Read by the award-winning narrator Scott Brick.

Dirk Pitt battles his most dangerous foe ever - with help from a very unexpected source.

There is a black tide infesting the ocean off the shore of Nicaragua. Whilst trying to determine its origin, startling things begin to occur and the inhabitants of a floating resort find themselves directly in the path of a violent storm. Dirk and the NUMA crew rush to their rescue, but they discover that there is an all-too-human evil at work and the black tide is only a by-product of its plan. Soon its work will be complete - and the world will be a very different place....

Action packed but believable

Classic action. This is like the Matthew Reilly or Andy McDerrmott you can listen to in front of the kids. Same action packed story lines mixing history, fiction, fact and myths but without the bloody battle descriptions and four letter words. This is a mix of a "today" story line full of techno wizardry and villans; but combined with the classic Greek myths that actually makes the Greek myths sound more believable than Homer did. I could never understand how Odysseus could get lost in the Meditterranean Sea for years....until now

Another gripping Pitt adventure

The historical references alone give rise to interest, but as ever Cussler maintains the pace to keep you enthralled.
The dubbing effects of the audible not too great on this story though. A background hiss and sudden breaks.
A small negative to an outstanding listen.

predictable...

Sorry, not for me. This is my first Dirk Pitt novel as audible doesn't have them all and I just found it dull...

Good story but a little long

I really enjoy Clive Cussler stories but this one did go on a little longer than it needed to (IMO). Also the audio chapters are out of synch from the chapters in the app making it hard to keep track of your progress.

Classic Dirk Pitt Tale just not the best.

Would you listen to Trojan Odyssey again? Why?

Not for a while. Good story, but wasn't a nail biter. The predictability was a little too much.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Al will always be my favourite.

What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?

The narrator was fine but there were a few audio glitches that detracted from the performance.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Always a good chuckle.

Any additional comments?

Pushed through to the end.
