Fun, I’m just annoying and opinionated

My overall impression of this novel is that it’s fun, gory, and offers a solid plot with some great twists. Although the author is trans, my biggest issue, as a trans reader, is that this novel felt like a trans story meant for a cis audience; I could never speak for the author’s own experience, but the narrative feels sanitized and simplified to be easily digestible, and I believe the author is capable of greater writing. However, it’s a fun and memorable ride that I absolutely believe has an audience, and the narration is wonderful! I look forward to seeing more from Eve Harms in the future!
