Buckle Up !

I've been struggling with ADD and even listening to a book hasn't been easy. Then, I found this book. The writing is so well done that you can't help but picture the whole thing like your right there. I listened straight through, totally drawn into the story. Think of the movie Independence Day and how exciting it was...yes, that good. This is the first book I've read from this author & I can't wait to check out more. P.S. I really appreciated the life the narrator brought to it as well so checking his stuff out too.

classic adolescent science fiction.

recommended for 13 yr olds new to puberty. Pretty good narrator. Predictable story line. Ah to be young again.

A solid YA novel

A unique young adult novel where a young boy with a rare brain condition is the only human on Earth who is receiving messages from an incoming alien race. He then is the only person who can decipher radio signals which set in motion the events which has them racing to understand what all these messages could mean. My only complaint about the book is that this being a young adult novel, it treats all adults as slow and simply not understanding what's really going on, or not believing the children, and the children in the book ALWAYS seem to have all the answers. Still a solid 4 star rating because it's a well thought out plot and story.

Transmission

Meh. Too many Deus ex Machina for me. Lots of potential for a great story but too many shortcuts for getting out of the pickles the kid got into. I love good science fiction but this felt like a formula book. Not interested in pursuing the series.

Once again zombies attack

I enjoyed this book immensely

It starts off quite well and then take that obvious disappointment turned

zombies are among us or something To that effect

But having said that I will still read part two

I was hoping for this to be more on the first contact primus

So almost to the end it became somewhat disappointing

Childhood’s end Is more my speed But that’s unfair judging this by such a minister

Waiting for part 2

Pretty good story line. But kind of basic. Plot could have been more realistic with more military involvement.

If you have nothing nice to say…say few words.

Good Sci-fi, in my mind, melds the edge of the known scientific with the discovery of a plausible next step. If the target audience is junior high than perhaps it works. Juvenile.

Good listen for middle school age

Good listen but for a young audience. Definitely not intellectually challenging for adults. Science fiction for 13 or 14 year old audiences
