Have you ever wanted to be a dragon?
I loved this book so much. Great characters and plot. Everything you want from a fantasy romance novel. K.L. Bone never disappoints with her page turning novels. In this one a young princess is forced to go out into the unknown and find herself. Find her strength and become the dragon in order to right some terrible wrongs. K.L. Bone's amazing talent for details make you feel like you are the dragon flying high in the sky and the incredible strength it takes to control it. Cheers Kristen you have done it again. I can't wait to read the next in the series.

Fantastic Dragon Shifter Story!
This was my first K.L. Bone's book, and won't be the last. This is the first book in the Flames of Kalleen Series. Embracing the Dragon is a great dragon shifter story. The world building is fantastic. The storyline is original, fast-paced, twisted, and captivating. I love Amelia. She is a strong and beautiful character. The other characters are also great. The scenery is wonderful. Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series, Releasing the Dragon. Kylie Stewart has a beautiful soft voice, and she did an amazing job reading this book. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. #AudiobookObsession

Different points of view
I love that!
She was betrayed by her own sister and now she has to find a way to a safe life.
The narration is good but a bit monotone. But she has a soothing voice.

Embracing the Dragon
Embracing the Dragon is the first installment from The Flames of Kalleen series. It is, also, the first book I have read by KL Bone. I enjoyed this story. The writing style was different and unique, which was refreshing. I liked reading something that is new and different and something outside of my comfort zone. Amelia is an admirable character full of strength and courage. I loved hearing the Kylie Stewart’s narration of the book and having her performing Amelia's tale.
I give Embracing the Dragon four and a half stars. I look forward to the next installment in The Flames of Kalleen series.

Dragon Shifters!
I enjoyed this book from the start. Amelia is the younger sister so she never anticipated life changing from her. Her sister was to be queen. She was going to go forward with life and her love as it had been. Except, that isn't the plan the new queen has for her. The narrator did a great job at conveying feelings. My only issue was the pacing was a bit slow for me.
The dragon shifter aspect of it was amazing. I loved that! Amelia has such a crushing time of it at the start, I felt so terrible for her. She is strong though. I think my favorite character was the captain and the decisions he made. Overall, it was a fabulous story.
It was a 4/5 for me. I cannot wait to see where this goes next.

what a story
wow this books sucks you in from the very first page. I really couldn't put this book down. I listened to it all in one day. It's a story of love, loss, finding oneself, finding your own inner dragon strength!! I can't wait to sink my teeth into book 2!!

Book 1 in Flames of Kalleen series
Royal dragon shifter princess blessed by the goddess of moonlight. Betrayed by sister and love. Exiled and on the run. Dragons are creatures of legend with desires to protect self and others. Need to find balance with control.

Well-developed characters, some to love and some to despise. Detailed world-building. I was captivated from the beginning. And, dragon shifters! Loved the storyline and can hardly wait to see how the series continues in book 2.

Great start to the series.
I have been a fan of KL Bone since discovering The Black Rose series.
This book was no different and was a great start the Flames of Kalleen series.
I’ve never listened to an audio book before this, and I loved it. The narrator was concise and clear and the story was amazing and easy to follow along with while I did other tasks. I look forward to listening to the rest rest of the series.

Embracing the Dragon
I loved it! Such a creative and unique storyline. I don’t want to spoil anything...
Both the author and narrator did a wonderful job. I need to see where this set goes!
