Publisher's summary

Two years have passed, which Eric has spent building up his soul strength and his connections.

Another pivot point is fast approaching, and Eric will not allow HC#004 to be claimed by anyone but humanity. What happened last time would not occur this time.

To that he will need to infiltrate Traitor GIT’s ship and then eliminate him once HC#004 is formally discovered. Given the relative differences in their soul strength that will be an arduous task, but armed with his future knowledge, Eric is confident that he will find a way.

Beyond that imperative, there are other events and opportunities for him to exploit. There is a promise to Fiona, three criminal gangs to destroy, and some boons to be collected with no one being any the wiser.

He is the reborn, and preserving that secret is more important than any one objective. He must remain ever vigilant, because while he was lucky with Francis, the aliens actively searching for him will be far less forgiving.

Traitor GIT is the second book in an epic LitRPG series from Alex Kozlowski, the best-selling author of Alpha Physics. The series follows Eric’s progression from nothing to a man who uses future-knowledge to transform humanity and to grow stronger himself until he can challenge the most powerful of intergalactic enemies.

Positive Review

A great continuation of the first book. I enjoy the cloak and dagger, though it does have some rough edges.

I really liked it

I really liked the book it well thought out and wittie. the only reason I did not give a perfect is the cliffhanger at end will wait to see how it is addressed in the next book. I still recommend this book a lot.

Cool sci-fi LITRPG

I enjoyed the first book of this series and this book is a proper sequel in that regard. Narration is a gripe, but the story more than makes up for it.

Incomplete

The story ends on a cliffhanger. A lot of time is wasted in the story with stuff that doesn’t really push the story forward. I still like the story and want to see it though, but I’m annoyed at this book for leaving this episode of the story feel unfinished

Enjoying the story, but this was a bit of a drag

This book spends a lot of time on inconsequential side stories, such as a multi-chapter travel log where nothing related to the story happens (well, something happens, but it isn't even related to the journey he is on). Then the story cuts off at a cliffhanger. It makes one wish there were a bunch of chapters removed so we could have some sort of resolution by the end of the book. Instead, you are left waiting for the climax to happen, but it never does.

I will be reading the next book in hopes it is more like the first than this book.

Was going ok....till the end

I'm gonna be honest I don't know if I like this authors writing style. I've listened to the first 3 books of Alpha Physics as well as the first book in this series and I enjoy general plot, but can't help but struggle through the actual books, honestly not sure why. Overall though I'd give this author a solid 4/5, there's nothing major I can point out that completely turns me off in any of his books and the basic premise tend to be interesting, I'll even say that for this book...until the end. I can't say it outright because it's a major spoiler, but the ending introduces a major plot hole. One that isn't even necessary, to kinda tiptoe around it the author shoves in another antagonistic force which I for the life of me can't understand why. He stacked the decks against the MC quite a bit already (even if I find the whole reborn hunt/crusade thing a bit ridiculous), and the difficulties the MC faces is more than enough to counter the regressor perks. Adding this new element in makes what was already a extremely difficult task pretty much impossible without an even more ludicrous level of dues ex machina than what's already baked in, which is a lot but I let slide since the whole inciting incident for this story is one big dues ex machina. Okay honestly I lied, if one were to follow the logic of this stories universe then this new element that the author added...just wouldn't be an issue, which is why I say it's a plot hole. If I say anymore I'll be going into the spoiler (probably gave a bit to much away already). Suffice to say it was an unnecessary addition that weakened the plot as a whole and shows a certain lack of direction from the author, he's clearly not sure where this story is going and is just throwing random ish at the MC to have a bit of plot. Still going to give this a 4/5 but it's more of a 3-ish/5. Probably won't get the next book.

1000x better then the authors other series

While I'm not personally a fan of romance, the rest of the book is great and the series is quite fun.

Also the ending has great implications and tension for the next books. I just hope the author focuses on this series over others and keeps the length of books the same.
